I've decided to take a break from stamping and this site for at least a day or two. (If I can hold out that long!) I seem to be in a creative slump recently and can't seem to come up with anything that excites me. The last several cards I've posted have been very ho-hum and un-inspired. :(
Of course, a big part of the problem could be that I've had a houseful of people (anywhere from ten to eighteen!) for the last several days, and I'm just worn out with cooking and picking up after everyone! My cleaning woman had the place spotless when she left on Wednesday afternoon, and within a few hours it looked as if she'd never been here!
Company's great, but it's so nice to have the peace and quiet after they leave!
I hope to come back in a day or so with new ideas and ready to be inspired again!

Don't worry. We all get rubber rot once in awhile. If we stamped exceptionally all the time we wouldn't get that "high" that comes with making a great card!
Hang in there. You're stamping will come! Just enjoy your company for now!
Happy Heart, I am one of you biggest fans. I don't think that ANY of your cards are ho-hum! But, do whatever you need to do to get that creative spark again so that you can come back and continue to inspire the rest of us like you always do!
What?? A 'ho-hum' Happy Heart card?? Not on this planet!
Rest, dear stamper. Maybe lurk if you feel a little need. Your little stamps will begin to beckon, and soon, you will be back to your creative self. We have faith in you!

I'm back...I think!
I actually got some things done around the house after saying adieu to the last of my company. Things seem to be back in order...almost everything clean and back in place.
I spent some time outdoors yesterday. The weather was beautiful. I put together a garden fountain that's been in the box since I bought it months ago. It looks like an old fashioned hand pump on a wooden bucket. Very cute! Some time among my flowers seems to have re-generated my enthusiasm.
Thank you all for your kind words!

Welcome back Happy Heart! You make my heart happy! I love your cards! But isn't hanging out in your garden the next best thing to stamping? Well, maybe! Kim
Yes, a garden is a great place to while away the day. Funny, I was only away from this site for about a day, but it seemed longer. :? I really intended to be away longer, but it kept calling me back! I'll be forced to stay away this weekend, though. My husband and I, along with my daughter and her husband and our three grandchildren, are going up to Burlington VT. for a few days. They have a wonderful fireworks display on the 3rd of July.
My husband is bringing his bike and his tag-a-long so that he and the two boys can bike along Lake Champlain. My daughter and I are going shopping! Burlington is a lovely college town with plenty of shops and nice restaurants. We'll visit the Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory on the way back home. Yum!
