I have 2 sets,RR AND EE.but never really use them. And not sure if I really need to buy more like the SS AND BB,I know it's nice to have them all since you never know when you will need them.but should I get them if I hardly even use the others.
How often do you ladies really use them.I tend to use my pencils and crayons so much more.
Is there a list of ways to use the markers.if I have a lot of reasons on how to get more use out of them maybe I would buy the other colors and use them more.
I can think of a few ways to use them like if your stamp doesn't ink an image all the way you can touch it up with the same color marker and fill in the area you need to be filled in,the spritzer SU came out with past year to make a splatter effect,to color portions on a wheel or solid image stamp, are there any other ways to get more use out of them.
Who can convince me to buy the other 2 sets that I need.

I don't use mine that often anymore with so many other ways to color out there but it's nice having them around when I need them. They seem to last almost forever if you store them right. I have had some for about 10 years and they are still working great.
I use mine all the time...love them. There is a file I've seen showing pages of uses for them...just can't remember where. Maybe someone else can recall.

It's official...I'm a stamping addict (second only to my "being a grandma" addiction)!
1. I use them to apply ink directly to a stamp to get multiple colors on the stamp
2. I use them to watercolor. I scribble the marker on a stamp box and pick up the ink with a blender pen or aquapainter. I only do this when I just need a little bit of ink. If I need a lot of ink I use a reinker and the lid of my ink pad.
I use my markers constantly! But I'm not a watercolor pencil/crayon person so it's my primary way.
I use them to get more than one color on a stamp, color a stamped image on the actual card,
I seem to be going blank here...
I think it just depends on your 'stamping style'. I don't know how I ever lived w/out mine. I've had them for 2 years now and feel it has opened up so many more stamping options.
Happy Stamping!!
I keep forgetting to go to the sections where it says ways to use it.I did find a lot of differant ways to use them.and some fun techniques. But just never think to do them when I make cards I usually just do the stamp in ink real quick and stamp on white cardstock.then matt and add embellishments.
I really need to get with the program and use the techniques that are provided out there.since there areso many techniques right under our noses. But I never seem to go that route.

I just got mine for Christmas so hard to give you a true perspective from here, before that I only had 10 of the retired colors. I love mine and use them every time I stamp. I find I use my WC crayons less then anything.

I have full intentions on buying the whole set during sell a bration....I used them at my demos house and loved how I could do differentcolors on the stamp!
I use my markers quite often ... however, if you find that you are not using the ones you have, then why invest in more? Spend your money on something else (imho) ... and if there are one or two colours that you feel that you MUST have and would use a lot (like black for instance), just buy those single ones. Oh no, this is an "un-enable" post ... I apologize for that!
I use them often but not really for coloring. Generally, I use coordinating colors for writing inside the card and addressing envelopes. Also, I color directly on the stamp quite often. My original family of Bold Brights is nearly 3 years old. They look barely used. Sometimes, if I'm using a little stamp and just don't feel like dragging everything out, I use a marker.
I use mine all the time too...it's my chalks that have sat in my iris cart neglected for months...maybe more than a year!! I have BB and SS and I use these as my primary coloring option. You can always use the fine tip to journal, if you like journaling in color (for me, I'm black only!) I have also used the fine tip to color in an area that perhaps did not come out well after stamping - no one would ever know!! I could not live without mine - someday I hope to invest in the EE and RR, but these are not color families I use often.

I LOVE my markers - and I was a late convert. But I agree with deb-loves-stamping. If you don't use them now, don't buy more. But you can try to use the ones you have. And if you do choose to buy them, purchase ink colors you don't have in pad form - that will force you to use them a bit.
I use them all the time. To write in cards to match the cards - looks so much better than regular pens. To color stamps to make the image different colors when I stamp. To color only part of the stamp when I stamp it, etc... For example, on my Merry scrapbook pages in my gallery I only colored the Ho! Ho! Ho! of the stamp in Merry. I love my markers!
I use mine almost every time I stamp! They are wonderful for getting multiple colors on one stamp! I even use them for watercoloring, I scribble on a piece of plastic and pick up the color from there with my aquapainter.
I bought some Tombows and rarely use those. Im not a marker kind of gal, Im more into watercoloring or pencils. It just depends on what kind of look your after.
I dont use my SU Markers anymore :( since almost all of them have dried up after only having them for two years (talked to SU nothing can be done).
Wow I can't believe you don't use yours all the time. I have had to replace many of mine b/c I have used all the ink up! Maybe if you have them at a place where they are more handy you would be more apt to reach for them?
Mine sit right in front of me in the case. I use them all the time. I've had them for about 4 years now and LOVE them. I stocked up on the colors that had retired and purchased all the new colors too. I love to watercolor, and I use my pencils ~ but I grab for my SU pens first most of the time....

Jovi, have you tried reinking them? If you can pull out the big tip, pull it out, otherwise, you can put a few drops of the reinker into a medicine cup and put the wide tip down into it and leave it sit for about 24 hours. Then store the marker on it's side to bring the ink down the entire length. When I say a few drops, I am thinking like 20-30, lol.so I guess not a few..lol

I can't believe that people don't use them constantly. I color stamps, repair badly stamped images, color in little areas, draw stems or things like that to match stuff, write a message, draw a line to add to the plaidmaker stamps. I don't think I hardly ever have a cardmaking session where I don't have them out.

I actually have them stored right next to my ink pads.all in the same storage unit I bought Then my scripto or scriblio markers are right next to them.I guess if I tried using them a little more maybe I would want the others

Me too! I use them all the time and it's been 3 years!
I use mine a lot. I always sign my cards on the back in a color coordinated marker. (I use the "Hand Stamped By" stamp.) I also use them to color stamps in different colors. I sometimes used them to color on paper. For instance, that big fish with lots of scales....
I love my markers! I wish I could get them in the in colors!
