SU Watercolor pencils & Gamasol?

Has anyone tried this? I hate to buy Prismacolor pencils when I already have the SU watercolor pencils. I came really, really close to buying them the other day then put them back. Has anyone tried this? Does it work?

Hi Amy,

watercolor pencils don't work with gamsol. But the metallic pencils and the pure color pencils do.

i got rid of my SU pencils just because the prismas had such a better selection of colors and they were closer to the SU colors. I'll have to find myself some pure pencils! ;)

I've been testing the technique with my Pure Color Pencils and LOVE how they work. If only we could get a few more colors... I love that there's no wood, I feel like I am getting more for my money.

Yeah, that is the only downfall. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be more colors coming. I can't wait to get them now!
