Default SU ink and CTMH stamps...are they compatible?

I'm doing a project with the Sunday School classes at church and I will have children and their parents stamping together. I usually use red rubber stamps almost exclusively, but for this project I am restricted to a very specific theme and one of the stamp sets that fits the bill perfectly is a CTMH set.

I seem to recall reading some things about CTMH stamps not producing a good image when SU inks are used. All of the stamp pads I have available to use for this project are SU and I do not have any funds to buy different ink pads. Before I spend my tiny budget on stamps, could anyone tell me if the CTMH stamps will work?

I use my SU ink pads with CTMH stamps all of the time. I sell SU, and for me it is not the ink, but the difference between rubber stamps and clear. The rubber stamps seem to produce a bit crisper image. That being said, maybe some others will have a more in depth answer for you.

I use only SU! inks and I have never had a problem with CTMH stamps. When you use a CTMH stamp for the first time, it needs to get "seasoned." I ink in a usual, stamp on a scrap paper, then drag it over the paper, like an erasing motion. I ink and test on a scrap again before stamping on the "real" paper. Never had a problem with the ink pooling or not stamping evenly.

I just tested it with one of my CTMH stamps and the regular SU dye ink and it works perfectly fine with the CTMH stamp. I also tried Crayola markers and they worked great too. Momento inks or Marvy markers work really well on clear stamps as well. If you have the SU markers, you could test those out on the CTMH stamps - I've never used the SU markers so I don't know if they would work.

Thank you everyone for your answers. I'm so glad it sounds as if they should work together just fine.
