Reading things like that always makes me sad. :( LSS were the heart of our passion for so many years. Sad to see so many closing down. I don't think the big box stores can ever give you that at home feel.
I went and bought some things at the sale, but am waiting for deeper discounts for another trip.
I don't think the individual stores can compete with the megastores and online companies. Especially in the current economic climate. There's still Frozen In Time in town, though!
I go there every time I'm in Topeka! Those ladies are wonderful!!
They are great ladies. I started shopping there when they very first opened. The store is about a block from my house (we have been known to walk over when it's not 105!) and they seem to be busy on a very regular basis. I pray that's good.

That would be December, when it's not 105 in Kansas???

Today was only 94. It was a lovely 83 when I got home around 9. DH and I sat on the patio enjoying it. Of course, the forecast for Friday through Tuesday is 100+. I'd take the winter's highs of 20 over this any day. Love Kansas weather.
