Stamping on Polished Stone...

I had a piece of glossy that I did a polished stone bg on. I "sealed" it with hairspray so that the metallic reinker wouldn't come off on my fingers I then stamped the trees from Lovely As a Tree on in using Night of Navy dye ink. A few days later the ink was still wet!! Any suggestions on how to avoid this?

I know I could emboss the image, but I plan on using this technique for my Christmas card and I don't have the time or patience to emboss 100 cards!!!

Which ink was still wet--metallic or dye?

The dye ink - in other words, the trees that I stamped on the polished stone background.

I would try stamping the trees on before you seal it.
