I did some a few years ago. Use large solid stamps, foam or rubber, and use a high quality fabric paint. Be careful not to get the paint on too thick, as it will smear when you stamp. You will need to clean the stamp often with wet paper towels (if you use stamps with no wood, you can rinse them under running water). To decide on your design, stamp your images on scrap paper first, cut out and move around on the curtain panel until you like the spacing and layout. Make tiny pencil marks where you will be stamping. Have a layer of newspaper under your curtains as you stamp to catch "soak throughs" and for a stamping cushion. Follow the directions on the paint bottle for heat setting to make the paint washable. Have fun!
