Default Stampin' Scrub Problem

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem with the Stampin' Scrub. I clean my stamp and then stamp off on a piece of white paper and it leaves a definite black mark on the paper. The Stampin' Scrub is brand new and I rinsed the pads and instructed. This happened this first time I ever used it and I was using a light color (certainly celery) so I know it's not left over ink. Any suggestions?

I like to use a dampened terrycloth towel to *finish* cleaning my stamps. I look at the "stampin scrub" much like you would if you were handwashing dishes... you use the scrubber in the wash water... but you still need to rinse... as there will always be a little dishwater remaining if you don't rinse.

Hoping this helps.

I seem to remember that both my scrubs left kind of a dark after mark the first few times I used them. Maybe it is a dye residue from dying the pads black?

Anyway, I washed my with hand soap several times (not just rinsing with water). Now I don't have any problems.

If you wash it several times and still have problems, you might talk to your demo and have her call Stampin' Up! about it...

I did have this problem when I first got my black scrubbers. It somehow just stopped.

Maybe if you run it through the top rack of the dishwasher a few times?

If it still persists, I'd see about exchanging it.

I don't think I'd use the dishwasher... I think the water could be too hot for the adhesive that holds the pads on the plastic casing. Not to mention I'm not sure how much heat the "bristles" can take.

I would use liquid hand soap or dishwashing liquid and give it a good scrub with your fingers, then rinse it really well.

I had the same problem with the last one I received. I now wash it with Shout or some other stain remover when I clean it (I scrub it with a nail brush also). It has helped a lot.

I have put mine on the top rack of the dishwasher a few times. It makes it all fluffy and pretty like new. I do take it out before the dry cycle. Just make sure it is away from the heating element and that you take them out of the case.

I also use the dishwasher but take it out before the drying cycle too. It gets them very clean and easy to do!

I always have this problem too. I am going to have to try one of these ideas and see if it helps!
Thanks ladies
