Smile stamp stores in pittsburgh

I am heading for a mini vacation Next Friday with my kids to pittsburgh, does anyone know of any stamp stores there that I should visit? I will be there 3 days so I thought maybe I would see about going while I was there. Thanks Shawnee

Hi! Where are you staying in Pittsburgh? There is a great stamp store just slightly north of the city. It's called Stamp Fanci. There's also a HUGE scrapbooking store, pretty far north though. But Scrapbook Super Station has TONS OF DESIGNER PAPERS. At least it did the one time I was there a couple of years ago. There's a smaller scrapbook store in the south worth going to if you are nearby, Scrapbookers Dream. And, if you don't have one at home, you may want to try the *huge* JoAnn's in Robinson Town Center, in the west suburbs.

You will love stamp fanci--it is in West View and easy to find. THe weekend of July 7th they are having a amusapalooza. THere is also a craft store called Pat Catans which has some good buys. They are in various locations around the city, do an online search to find the one closest to where you are staying. For sure, look up stamp fanci. It is one of my fav treats!

Thats cool where abouts in Friendsville? I have lived in Cumberland for a most of my life. And I don't usually get to go on vacations but I decided to take the kids to kennywood and the zoo so we decided to stay a few days and I figured I would have alittle time to check out some stores there. We don't have anything in Cumberland, I usually go to Hagerstown or Altoona just to get to a Michaels. I really wish I could afford to open my own store. Maybe someday. Thanks for the info. I am going to for sure check out the stamp store and Joanns

My family lives outside the town--near Blooming Rose--do you know where that is? I have several cousins who live in Frostburg and LaVale. It would be cool if you could open a store--I would visit it when I'm in town seeing the family Try to make it to stamp fanci--it is an old building with 3 rooms of stamps! OF ALL KINDS!! There are cool samples all around the store too. If you need directions, my husband is really good getting around town and you can PM me and I will have him write up directions from the waterfront. West View is a small area just outside the city, when I first moved to Pgh, I lived there. Now we live north of the city near Mars. West View is very quaint and there is a neat diner there too that me and the girlfriends like to hit after shopping at stamp fanci. You wont be far from Ross Park Mall either and your kids might like that.

My hubby and I stayed at the Marriot at the Waterfront a couple months ago and there is a nice Michael's store there. I went nuts buying the acrylic $1 stamps there because my Michael's never seems to have them!
Have fun!
