I have a couple of stamp sets that for some reason seem to be too smooth, does that make sense? They are not inking properly and I can't seem to get a clean stamped image. Is there anything I can do to "rough" it up Have any of you run across this and what did you do ?
I remember reading on a site somewhere that you can use a regular pink eraser - not the type on a pencil but the small rectangular one - and "erase" it across the stamp a couple times and that will take care of the problem.
I'll post the link to the article as soon as I remember where I found it.
Thanks you guys! I knew you would have the answer I needed! I ran downstairs to grab an eraser, used it and it worked perfectly!! I now have a nice clean stamped image!! Woo Hooo!!!
I've always used my sanding block - a very fine grit sandpaper - or in a pinch I've used a large nail file (again, very fine grit though) and lightly "sand" the image when I first put mine together. It works great and I am not really "sanding down" my rubber images as it might sound. Good luck!
