I had it on my to-get-list for months; Michaels Craft store got these in in my area...finally.
I personally don't like it for chalks, which is why I purchased it. However, I do see application for acrylic paint.
It made a mess with the SU chalk - blew the dust everywhere - into the other colors. Not happy. I ended up swirling it (not turned on) in the chalk then turning the unit on as I was hitting the paper to avoid this.
I will have to try to play with it more to get better at applying it with chalks. If you are doing a swap where you are doing a lot of application of chalk I could see where this tool could be a blessing to your hand/wrist.
It is yet another (quasi) noisy tool (between the hammering of eyelets and the heat tool) for my DH to say, "What are you doing now?". LOL!
I bought one and haven't played with it much yet, but it seems like it will be cool to use. I tried it with an ink pad...it leaves a soft color, almost like air brushing, behind.
Britta - we need to get out more! I was thinking of the Ttide spin brush . It is great for getting detergent into stains - my kids' clothes (especially soccer and baseball uniforms) are coming really clean.
But for craft applications? I guess I need another session with Cindy!
Is this what you are talking about? I wanted to see it so I went looking. It looks really intesting and I would really like to try it. Thanks for sharing about your experience with it though, so I don't try Chalk.
If you are talking about the ArtDeco Spin Brush. I got mine a month or so ago when they first came out after seeing it in a CK magazine. I absolutely love it. I use it to distress the edges of things like around the edge of a saying or something. Works great on Bazzill cause of the texture. I however have not used it with chalking just the distress ink and also rub on metallics.
