I would love to see examples of what people have done with spectrum pads. I saw a card I loved and thought I needed to get one, but now I can't find it. That was a long time ago and I found another one that I love and am going to CASE. But, want to see what other people have done.
Here's a card I made with a Kaleidacolor pad. Wolf
You could also try a search for "spectrum" in a gallery. Lovely as a Tree's gallery has a ton of them in there. HTH
here's one from my gallery that i just uploaded...its using the 'pinks' spectrum pad. it uses embossing resist technique...stamp images in versamark on glossy white, sprinkle with clear ep, emboss, ink up your brayer with the spectrum pad, apply it to glossy cardstock, and blot off excess ink with a tissue/paper towel...the spectrum pads are a good investment and they can even be reinked with your reinkers!
There are a bunch made with Kaleidacolor pads in the gallery on A Shade of Blue (another papercrafting forum similar to SCS). They are awesome, check it out!
The only thing in my gallery with a Spectrum pad I could find was this 6x6 scrapbook page - it looks better in real life - can't tell that it's glossy here:
Some of my spectrum pad cards: PaisleyRainbow ColorGardensBday
and the candles on this birthday scrapbook page were done with the same spectrum pad, which is a Colorbox Pigment Spectrum pad in "Pastels". Birthday
OK - I've been on the fence for a really long time about the spectrum pads, but these cards that are posted here have convinced me that I need to order them. Can't wait to play!!!
I did a versamark resist. I stamped circles from simple shapes on glossy paper in versamark. Then I brayered over with brillant blue. It created a watery/bubbles kinda look. I used it as a bkgd to fishy friends. I cased it from here, changing it up a bit.
