Hey gals ... I have now bought the spots in BB, RR and EE. I am debating SS because I'm not sure that I would use them a lot, the colours are so light. What do you all think? Do you love them? Could you live without them? I'm sure you will all talk me into buying them, but I thought I would ask!!!!
Initially, I thought I'd never order them. Then, I got some paper and first thing you know, the need for SS spots hit me. On May 1, I'm placing an order for them. I'm starting to like them, ALOT!!
Are you buying the craft or classic? I think SS in craft would be SO versatile because you could also stamp it on darker cardstock. It's the only set of spots I own

This is exactly what happened to me! I started ordering the spots and figured this would be the last group I'd get. Now it's my favorite. I still haven't got BB and I don't think I will. Love SS and can't believe I waited so long to get them!
When I first started, I bought EE and RR first. Then purchased BB and SS together. They are without a doubt my faves. Mellow Moss and Pale Plum and Perfect Plum and Blush Blossom and Bashful Blue and Sage Shadow -- come on!!! ;)
I TOTALLY wish that I had the craft pads/spots because I have sooooo many ideas swirling in my head for use on black cardstock... If you can handle the drying time, I'd definitely go Craft!

I recommend that my customers start with dye ink unless they are mostly scrapbookers. I LOVE the craft ink, tho, and you certainly won't be in bad shape if you got them in craft.
I bought them all and didn't think I would really use SS unless it was an easter page or baby card, but I actually use it in Heritage Scrapbook pages either all SS or B&W photos are great with monocramatic colors.

I love the SS too. I was upset when they were taking some away and they brought out new colors, now I don't know what I did without them. The are my favorites.
Love the SS in craft!! Craft allows you to use them on all your paper regardless of the color. (Just an FYI: Did ya know that 2 families of your spots will fit in the box for the BG's. Just take the BG stamps out of their boxes and label the side. Saves space and you can see all your spots!!)
Get the CRAFT. =)
I use the soft subtles much more than I thought I would. I have the regular sized classic pads and the craft spots. With the SS I prefer the craft ink, the classic ink comes out a little too light for my tastes, craft works better. And they work really well with the other color families, one of my favorite combos is sage shadow and brocade blue.

Honestly, both Craft and Classic! But Unless you are a scrapper first, I would get the Classic ink and then the craft! I have and use both kinds though.
I have SS in full-sized classic and craft spots. I really do think you need both, the craft spots would be my choice if you only go for one though. You can emboss them and you can stamp onto darker cardstock and the color will show up.
On this card
I have stamped bashful blue craft onto chocolate colored card and as you can see it shows up really well.
Personally, I don't get on with SU Craft pads - I find them too wet and prefer the look the Classic pads give me.
I LOVE soft subtles - I'm not a pastel person, but find the SS colours so great to work with. And, like others have said, they combine well with colours from other families. My favourite combos are;
Banana, Moss and Perfect Plum
Banana and Black
Celery and Close to Cocoa
