I'm up and it's 5:33 a.m. CST and still no post.. I'm going back to sleep!
I was up because my hubby, son and dad are heading to Kentucky Lake to go fishing today.. I thought I would take a peek to see if it was posted or not.. okay.. more sleep.

This is my guess as well - another site I frequent craftster.org was "aquired" over by another company...NameMedia that runs online communities - from what I understand is they work with the "founders'...
so far I haven't really any difference in Craftster at all
I was only joking!!
I joked on my blog a few months ago that "I" had bought SCS, so really, I was just continuing that lame joke..............I'm sure they aren't selling this goldmine!

This thread reminded me of how much life changes. 3 1/2 years ago I didn't know SCS existed. I breathed, ate, slept, worked and GASP even stamped. After reading this thread my blood pressure is elevated and I'm pacing. "What if there are changes I DON'T LIKE???" I ask myself. SCS has become such a part of my daily life and the hobby that keeps me sane. But any time changes have been made on this site they've been for the better. I don't know Daven personally but what I hear in him is a true commitment to this site and to the individuals that frequent it. I think we can trust him. Bring it on! But PLEASE bring it on quickly!!!

I was here first thing checking for the latest post too. After nothing posted yesterday I thought for sure there would be something this morning. Patience is NOT my virtue :-D

The saga continues... it's 9:15 am CST and nothing.. not even a hi, hello, I acknowledge that you are waiting for me!!!!! I did mention that patience is not my best virtue. I hope that Daven is having a really fun day.. but not so fun that he can't stop in and check in on all us stalkers.

Oh, No! I thought for sure there would be something this morning.
I even had a thought during my non-sleep last night (I don't sleep very well) that what it they want to make this a paid membership site?
Another thought I had the other day is... could it be that they want to clear off some of the very old message history? (Or do they do that already?) I'm not computer savvy, so that night not even be necessary.
I'm trying to be patient, but it's not working. I wonder if the announcement will be so far off from our wandering minds, that we will all be let down. No not really but just, giggling that we created such possible drama!
Let's hope it's that they are opening a store, that's the best of all the crazy ideas!
I have been lurking here as well...watching....waiting....you know, I suspect whatever "it" is will not be bad, or nearly as monumental as all of our imaginations are making it out to be!!
I also suspect if it were really dramatic news, Daven would not keep everyone waiting like this...unless he enjoys generating drama!
So I will keep watching, and hoping something comes out before I have to go out later this afternoon!

b) Daven is only thinking about CHA and just forgot that he had news to tell us.
c) This was all a test just to see if anyone ever reads the home page.
d) Daven was simply trying to get over his fear of the blank page and (c).
e) The news is really good, pretty benign, and it's not too crucial that we know about it in any particular timeframe.
Okay... the only part I really believe is that the news is good! I just don't want to wait a whole weekend to find out what it is. And with respect to (c) above ~ don't be the boy who cried "Wolf!" and mess with us, Daven ;) ... we want to hang on every word -- just give us the words !!

I think you are on the right track. If it was THAT important or BIG he would not have forgotten to tell us. He is probably having so much fun at CHA he does not realize we are all here wondering...
Maybe...their exclusivity contract has ended, and SCS will now be offered in Wal-mart???? Does that mean we won't have to put on white gloves to type our posts any more?

I'm just happy to know that Daven is known to be at CHA. Usually if someone is a day late getting back to me, I may be a little worried about *them.* Not worried. Not worried about the announcement either.
It's just that I don't think he'd reiterate the entire history of SCS if this weren't something big. THAT makes me curious ;)
