Ok- I have to ask.... because it has always driven me NUTS........
When I'm inking a solid image stamp (like the flower in the Love Without End set), the linen liner pattern tends to transfer through to the stamped image. Is there any way to get good inkage without the pattern???
I have solved this problem by not just stamping the stamp on the pad, but stamping, twisting, and stamping, and it seems to help. Also make sure your pad is well inked.
I always take my bold stamps and twist it a little bit on my ink pad, then do a tap, tap, tap in different spots on the ink pad and it really makes a difference.
If you stamp is brand new, rub it lightly on your jeans to take off that slick surface, and it picks up ink much better.

My demo told us to rough up the surface a bit with an emery board. I always do that now with the large, bold images before I use them for the first time and never have a problem.

I always twist and it works perfectly! You have to check the stamp for beads of ink on the surface. When you see those, then you will know that you have a good amount of ink on there. Happy stamping!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this issue!
I love my craft pads and had to spend some good quality time with the Classics to give them a fair chance!
Thanks to QC for making me do it!!

My demo always told us (and I now tell my customers), "twist, twist, tap, tap!" This makes sure that the ink is evenly distributed along the stamp, yet too much ink stays on the stamp. Sounds goofy, but it works!
The Colorbox Fluid Chalk inks are WONDERFUL for using solid stamps like this. The coverage is PERFECT! Not that this will help you if you don't have them, but I wanted to pass that along.
I think twisting the stamp on the inkpad only is hard on the stamp when the stamp is a small one. Those tend to come off easily when you clean them normally too. I'm a new demo and those little sentiments in AYCI have come off at two of my workshops already! They're easy to fix, but I'm always VERY careful with those, and with my alphabets!
For the larger stamps, I twist all the time and have not had a bit of trouble.
rub the stamp first with the embossing buddy from SU! or some other similar product. The light coating it leaves on the stamp surface allows the ink to grab better. HTH
