Greetings to all. I'm going NUTS here. I know that I just recently saw a post for cement directions on the extra small fruit tins, to reclose them and add candy etc, so that you can save the pop up top. Has anyone done these and can tell me how to reseal them once you wash them out and refill them?! I'm going crazy trying to find the directions!!! Help me out ladies! Please!???
THanks so much for the link. I do know that you have to use the safety can opener, but what I'm wondering is, what is the very best way to re-attach the bottom lid? I've heard rubber cement, crystal effects, modgepodge. Anyone else??
I've never had success in getting the bottom off good enough to put it all back together (my can opener just doesn't do a good enough job) but I have looked at a lot of these threads and I think they all use either the crystal effects from SU or the E-6000 mentioned in the thread highlighed above. Modge Podge or regular glue wouldn't adhere the lid enough.
I use Crystal Effects. If I put candy in I make sure it is in a wrapper. They are alot of fun because everyone can't figure out how you did it! I use one of those safety can openers from Wally World it was about $10 I think!

I've used Crystal Effects (or whichver brand falls into my outstretched hand at the moment) or the Making Memories Metal glue. They both work just fine. I think Aleens Tacky would even work... it dries clear, doesn't it?
