Default watercoloring

What is the best Stampin Up cardstock to watercolor on?? Right now I just white cardstock from Walmart, I wondered if there was something that worked better than that?
Thanks

Default I haven't done much watercoloring...

...but the cards I have done look GREAT on SU Ultrasmooth White cardstock. The colors really stand out but not in a too bold way, unless that's the effect you're going for.

I haven't tried any other cardstock. Some people use Georgia Pacific cardstock from Walmart and say it's pretty good but even so they say it doesn't compare with the SU Ultrasmooth White. I was thinking about buying some of the Walmart Georgia Pacific just to practice on/play with but then using the SU Ultrasmooth when I really make cards.

I've also read in this forum that the SU! Confetti White is an excellent choice for watercoloring. I haven't tried it yet... but have used the US White with great results!

I use Wal Mart white all the time for my watercoloring - but after I stamp my image and before I watercolor, I spray the cardstock with a light coat of Krylon Matte Spray (you can get this at walmart in the spray paint section, I think).

Matte Spray is a clear spray and it gives the paper a slight "coat" so the colors and the water blend easier and the paper doesn't "pill."

Makes watercoloring soooo much easier!

At regionals they told us that the confetti white is the best choice for watercoloring. It is a heavier cardstock and can withstand water better.

Default Watercolor

I just finshed watercoloring some cards for a swap and I used Confetti White. It looks very nice and the cardstock is nice and heavy and withstands the watercoloring very well. I would highly recommend it!

Default watercolor

You spray and then you watercolor? Is that correct?
