I wouldn't buy it, but I think it is just about the same as a cartoon character having a big nose or something like that. It's NOT making fun of people with big noses, it's just an illustration. Or Mona Lisa- she doesn't have eyebrows or eyelashes, that's not realistic either, but people still enjoy the painting!

I like them. I'm really glad they are in the catalog I think they are unique. They look nothing like Bella's to me.
I'm not a super huge fan of solid images so I might not get these. I'm not sure yet.
I think they are very with today's trends. I look at cards all the time in stores and this look is really in right now. I like that SU and other companies don't leave us with hokey looking old fasioned stamps ya know? They introduce new stuff all the time.
Oh and it doesn't bother me that they are so skinny, I look JUST LIKE THEM! *hahahahaha, I'm kidding, if you've seen me you know!*

My first opinion of them was corpse bride also. I love the bellas but wasn't very taken with these. I'm sure, however, when I look at the gallery or at my SU demo's "example" with the set, I'll then see them with new eyes and probably have to have them...
As long as we're talking about women's physiques, check out the women in the MFT sets. Those stick like arms and huge boobs! I have a few of those sets and use them, but sometimes I can't look at them too long or I will start to think about how strange they look. I think that the new SU set looks like fashion illustrations from the 70's. ;)

And also they don't have heads.
and Bella's heads and sometimes even sholders are not physically attached to the rest of her body.
I don't think realism is of utmost importance here.
*to be clear I like MFT and Bella's inspite of their realistic shortcomings, that sorta defines thier style*
OH and Sassy Suzie or whatever her name is has the strangest boobies ever.

They just look odd to me, I don't hate them but they are NOT my style at all. I do think it's strange just how awful their posture is and how looooong their necks are. I know it's "art" but I still think the style is weird.
And I agree that the silhouettes are extremely skinny. But then I assume they are going in the direction of fashion and magazines where 0, or -0 is what you want and a size 2 is fat.
When I was a teenager my body form was much like these ladies. I ate all the time but was still skinny. I was tall too. (No I don't look like this now!) I would never say unkind things about someone that was overweight, but somehow it's OK to call a skinny person unhealthy (what a joke-I was very healthy) and anorexic. I wonder how many thin girls have read this post and had their feelings hurt by unkind comments? I think we can agree that we don't all like the same things without being unkind.
I agree with the orignal poster. I love the idea of these stamps, but the girls look anorexic. I don't think that's the image we want to provide to our young women. They would be great if the SU designers could go back to the drawing board and add about 10 or 15 lbs to each. - LOL!

Can't wait to see all the Corpse Bride Halloween cards  ...
My second thought on these is the slouchyness bothers me - it isn't a positive attitude at all.
A slouchy bride to me indicates a forced/reluctant marriage.
A general slouchy appearance indicates low self esteem.
These things have nothing to do with the stamps being thin either.
and I was just thinking how insulted would someone associated with the military be to get a "slouchy" card. Definitely not one to send to the General's daughter on her wedding day. IMO
The cards I have seen in the gallery are beautiful, however I think they would be just as pretty with another stamp so what does that actually say about the set?
BTW - the headless MFT stamps creep me out too!
I'd just like to say that I like that SU seems to be trying some new things with the new mini - some of these new things are me...and some are you...and some are neither of us. In my opinion, it's all good.
I do kind of like a couple of these She's All That girls, but I won't likely order the set because I'd really probably only use one or two of them and for over $30 Cdn, I need to use more than that.
I like the girl walking the dog - I imagine that's a Starbucks cup in her hand. Yes, she seems awfully tall and thin, but shadows can do that for a person...around the right corner at the right time of day curvy-5'2" me even sometimes looks tall and lanky in my shadow. I think the weird proportions in the stamps are on purpose because shadows are that way
I like the set in general - I just wish the bride was standing a little more upright. Her slumped posture makes her look like my 98 year old grandmother! The other stamps in the set are cute though. The thinness of the girls doesn't bother me at all.
I love coloring, so I tend to be drawn more towards line drawn sets, so this one probably won't go on my list.
That's exactly what bugs me about this set! I loved it at first, then it "un-grew" on me (which almost NEVER happens!)! That being said, I've not seen any of the samples in the gallery, either!
I just got a look at them (my rep/cousin knew I would not like anything in the cataloge so she did not sent it to me! LOL). My first thought was - very creepy! Second thought - what bad posture they have. Needless to day I am short and even when I do not weigh much I still look very round so I am so not able to relate to these images!
