Scrapebook pages

Over the years I have saved platium blode hair from hair cuts from my granddaughter. As I put pages together for a scrapebook for her I would like to put some hair on them. I have been told that my hair used to be that color. It isn't anymore. How do I protect the hair, and attach it to the page?

What if you tied a lock of hair with a small ribbion and put it in one of those little tiny envelopes I've seen around lately? That way, you can attach the envelope to the paper and still be able to touch it or look at it. Or you could put it in between two pieces of those glass microscope slides and glue it on to the paper - you couldn't touch it, but the hair would be protected behind the glass. Just some suggestions - haven't actually had to do locks of hair, so I don't know how well either of these ideas would work, so you might want to experiment with some hair that isn't treasured first. I sure would like to see how it comes out!! ~Pam

Fiskars makes clear envelopes that have adhesive on the back and the flap, so that you can put your keepsake in the envelope, seal it, and the adhere it to your page. There are three different sizes in a pack. I think you can get them at Wal Mart.

Oooh! I know! How about a watch crystal? You can do a lock of hair tied in a ribbon, then crystal effects it to the page. It will protect the hair, and be a super-pretty accent to a tag, or whatever. I'll have to try that!

I bought the mini envelope template for just things like this!! I am making a baby scrapbook for my sister in law and thought the little envelopes to put in hair, first tooth, etc. would be cool!!
