I need some help here, fellow stampers! I am trying (tonight) to start and FINISH my daughter's 4th b-day invitations. I just got the kids to bed and now the clock is ticking. Since I don't have much time, I already found the card I am going to case:
I just can't figure out how jexterra made the pocket card stay closed. I tried using staples under the flap, but it was strange feeling when you hold the card. I then tried using an itsy bit of adhesive on the edge (snail), but it didn't seem to be enough to hold consistently.
Sticky Strip is the red lined tape found in the SU! catalog. It goes by other names in the retail world. But that is what I have used for all pocket cards and it holds them together very well. Just be sure you make your slider small enough to slide comfortably up and down in the pocket.

Thanks for the tip. Too bad I don't have any on hand. I will buy some for future projects though!
Any thoughts on another option? I have roller adhesive, glue, regular tape, and double stick tape. I also have some brads, but not enough to do all 26 invitations.
You can buy the tape from Michaels and other places, like The Angel Company sells it. It's a super, sticky tape that sticks on both sides and you peel off the red plastic covering (which is where it gets it's name!). If you don't have it now already, you may want to use staples on the sides to hold it down, or brads/eyelets or even a ribbon across the top!
Good luck! And enjoy making those cards! My DD, ready to turn 11, insisted on making her own invites on the computer!! ugh...sniff, sniff. My feelings are hurt!!

Thanks for the explanation and suggestions! Your ribbon idea is beautiful! Sorry about DD not appreciating the art of stamping. Not even a teenager yet! Mine is only 4 and I know she is going to break my heart, too
If you have brads or eyelets, you can use them to hold it. Ribbon or sewing works too. I agree that the example you posted probably used strips of sticky strip down the sides to hold it. Stricky Strip is much stronger than your normal snail adhesive. Here is an example of one that uses brads: Thankful Penguins by twoboysandagirl at Splitcoaststampers
