question about paper crimper

Many times when I put a strip of cardstock through my paper crimper it comes out crooked. Does anyone have any suggestions or strategies for making my strip come out straight?

make sure your grip on the handle is the same on both sides, a lot of times i find i grip harder on one side than the other, causing it to crimp crooked. HTH

I have the same problem! I will try handling it more evenly.

It works better if you don't try to go too fast also. When you try to turn the handle too quickly, it tends to make the paper shift.

What works best for me is to close the crimper tightly before I insert the cardstock, lay the paper in the top - making sure it is even, then roll away from me. This works best with a wider piece of cardstock tho.

Just recrimp it over. It works out great this way if you make a mistake the first time.

I agree, just recrimp. I had been throwing away my crookedly crimped paper and then one day ran the paper thru the crimper again and it came out straight! Now I love my crimper.
