Default Published artwork

I'm flipping thru the catalog (yes, again) and noticed that a lot of samples have a similiar look. I see a lot more with wire, hemp or ribbon with the same kind of knots or bows, etc... so I was wondering, does anyone from SCS has their artwork published in it? If so, which one?

SU! no longer uses demonstrator artwork in the catalogs or other Portfolio Idea Books, etc. They did in the past, until 2001-2002 and I was lucky enough to be in them 3 years consecutively, but now, they use an in--house art department.

There reason is that they want all the samples to coordinate with their pre-determined color schemes for each 2 page spread, and given that there is utmost secrecy of new incoming stamp sets prior to the new catty release, this is the only way they can accomplish it.

Unfortunately, my customers prefer demonstrator artwork over the in-house art department; they feel there was more variety of style in samples and color schemes that way. They don't care if a 2 page spread is totally color coordinated.

Despite repeated pleas to SU! to go back to using demo'r artwork in these publications, they remain steadfast to this policy.

Now demonstrator artwork is published by SU! only in the demonstrator training newsletter, not many pieces, but there are usually a few in each monthly newsletter and the rest are all done by in-house and in a quarterly publication, also business related. The quarterly publication features NON-winning contest entries demo'rs have submitted throughout the year.
