hm...can't believe I missed the part about the ink! Guess I was too busy scrolling down to see the pix. LOL. But, yeah, that's a great offer. It's been a while since I purchased PTI ink...this might be the deal breaker!
This is what Nichole posted on her Simply Chartreuse post:
"As a side note, we wanted to let you know that we have heard loud and clear your thoughts of our pigment ink formulation and we are currently working with our manufacturer to improve it. In the interim, colored pigment inks will be available for sale in two options.
I haven't bought any of the new inks. I gave up on their inks early on and never investigated the new ones. What was the problem with them? Are they coming dry, and that's why the refill?
Today's post was a knock-out, wasn't it? Absolutely GORgeous projects!
Okay, now I will definitely have to order all of the pigment inks that I have been trying to decide about. I did buy one color and am fairly pleased with that one, so at this price, I will be getting all the colors they offer in pigment!
I am definitely going through PTI forum withdrawl. I almost cried yesterday when I couldn't hang out with my forum friends and was so excited to log on this morning just to find that it's still down. :( I'm so glad I thought to come here - I knew I would find some chatter about the new release

Yes, this. I have the paper/ribbon/etc., but I have been holding off on the inks because of the reports of problems. This new system will make me more likely to order the inks.
OH my...I am loving the new color releasing this month.....so close to Kiwi Kiss....They just keep outdoing themselves...cant wait to order.
blessings.
I'm actually placing a big order today so I can get it before the craziness of the May release delays shipping times. But, there are many, many new items on my to buy list. I LOVE the new color and I MUST Have the Up, Up, and Away stamp set and die. Love the new impression plates, too. And I think I'll get the fillable frames as well.
I just tried to visit the PTI forum and got this new message:

So, just a few more hours to wait.
Yea!! Can't wait to see what the new forums, galleries and store look like!!
Our web company has currently disabled the store front and is now switching servers and loading the brand new website! There a few things that they wanted me to pass onto all of you!
***The new site should go live TODAY by approx. 4pm EST.***
STOP BY FOR A VISIT
We encourage you to stop by and browse, get to know the site and get comfortable with the new format. We also want to be able to conduct live load volume testing so we can be sure that we have prepared fully for the traffic expected on release night! So tell all your friends and stamping cohorts to stop by and visit so we can have as much traffic as possible today to perform this testing!

I can tell right now that question number one will be: HOW WILL ALL THE PURCHASES WE'VE MADE FROM FEBRUARY TIL NOW GET COUNTED FOR THE ANNIVERSARY SET?? ;)

I was actually wondering that myself when I read Nicole's update. I'm sure they will address that issue sometime soon.

Second question, How about all of us who purchased both full sized pads AND cubes in the "new" formula before this announcement? Will we get complimentary refills too?

Unlikely. From a sheer volume standpoint, among other things. (And almost no store, of any kind, will apply a new promotion to prior purchases.)
But what I don't understand is why I can't buy a darn cube by its lonesome. I don't want to have to figure out where I'm going to store a load of reinkers.

I thought the exact same thing! You KNOW they will count all of our purchases since February, but my first thought was that it was a good thing that the forum wasn't up right now because it would be flooded with that question!
They may not be able to go back & offer reinkers to all who have purchased, but it would be nice if they offered it to people who placed an order within the last couple of days. I would have waited a couple more days to order if I'd known this was coming. As it was I placed an order for a couple new colors 2 days ago.
Just saw a notice - 10 pm it should be up and running.....*sniff*
I am loving the new envelope die and that Chartreuse - oh my word.....that's a for sure - the car die for sure - it was out last month when I ordered the stamp set.....I don't know why I can't cut it out lol! I sure wish I could hit that "buy it all" button.....

That was one of my first thoughts, too. I just bought all the pigment inks I didn't already have last month. Now I wish I had waited another month to get them!

Some people have had problems with some colors. Quite a few people had problems with Lemon Tart. The new pads were needing to be reinked right away. My Lemon Tart wasn't that bad, but it did stamp much nicer after I reinked it. My Hibiscus Burst is a little on the dry side, so I will need to get a reinker for that one as well. They aren't completely dry, just not as juicy as I would like them to be. Including a free reinker for future purchases is a great idea, and I think goes above and beyond what most companies would do.
Wondering too. I've gotten a few cubes lately and haven't gotten a dry one.
Yes, quite a few are arriving too dry to use. And others are not staying "mixed". Hawaiian Shores looks blue, not blue-green unless you "smoosh" it before use. Pain in the butt, LOL.
I've also noticed that even the new pigment ink pads that don't arrive dry seem to dry out very quickly after opening. I only reink when I want to use a color. Again, PITB when you go to a crop as you have to haul reinkers as well as ink pads.
Anyway, I hope they go back to the original formula or something like it; I liked it MUCH better.
I so want to order from the new release.......Unfortunately, due to the idiocy of our illustrious governor, I have to put any non-essential purchases on hold.

Trust me you'll probably want that re-inker. I've had to purchase re-inkers for most of the colors I've bought recently (hib burst/rasp fizz).

Nicole updated her blog http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/ with info concerning some of the questions people have posted here and other PTI threads today about the anniversary set and why they're doing the switch so close to the release.
I got a dry Lemon Tart pad, along with a lot of others. PTI worked out a replacement program with the manufacturer, but I think it was taking a long time (6+ weeks) to get replacement pads to the customers. I think this is a good move on their part to include refills going forward.
Side Note: With my chalk inks and others that tend to dry out often, I keep them in ziploc baggies. It seems to help.
