Default Projects for 8 year olds

Does anyone have a very successful project that 8 year old girls have done with you? Please describe!

How about the post it note cover or steno note cover. It seems that age love note pads. Oh, and don't forget the micro bead pens to match the pad.

My nieces all enjoy making holiday cards (whatever the holiday; but this is an especially good time of year!) for family and their friends. We've also done frames (like the kind Wal-Mart sells) that you can decorate with stamps and ribbon. HTH.

I just did a stamp camp for 10- 10year olds. We made a fishy friends card. kids seem to love this set, a note pad using simply circles, and then we made the fish from the 2 cd's that I found here on splitcoasters. They loved it. I always let them pick out a booking stamp or notepad that I have made, they seem to fight over the notepads.

I recently had a kids stamp camp and had a few eight year olds. They loved making magnets. I used the 1 1/4 inch circle punch and punched out circle out of the magnet sheets and confetti cardstock. They stamped using little love and colored in with art pencils then glued with a glue stick onto the back of the big glass flat marble. They turned out so cute. I've done the beaded pen with my daughter who is 7 and at a show and the tape can be very frustrating-even for adults. Jr. legal pad covers would be a great idea. Also I've done mystery stamping with my daughter.... stamped on glossy using versamark and then used sponges and dabbed ink on and watched the stamped image magically appear. I've done puzzle cards, which were a big hit, but hard to color on. And door hangers. I think at that age, letting there creativity go, is one of the best things. Give them plain card stock and some ink and a stamp set and see what they can do.

my 6 year old is a great stamper - he can do most things an adult can do I just help him out a little, I usually cut the cardstock (or line it up and have him push the paper cutter), I will also have pre-stamped designs that he can color etc to make his cards, he also likes to make bookmarks, we made easy magnets with the 2 x 2 sheets of tiles and just stamped on them, we also stamped on tissue paper, colored with colored pencils and used modge podge (or elmers also works) to adhere.
Have her find something that she likes in the catalog or on this site and help her make something like it. She will probably amaze you!! They do a great job if they are doing somethng they like and help choose
