Does anyone know of an easy way to cut a rectangluar window in a piece of card stock (like a frame/mat for a gel card)? I've been "eye-balling it" with my paper cutter, but sometimes that isn't as neat as I'd like it to be. Should I just break out the old craft knife and straight edge???
The only square punch I have is CM and the reach is VERY small. Does the SU square punch reach in far enough to provide a reasonable border around the punch?
I have various sizes of non-SU square punches & I do the same thing
as Alicia. Just overlap the squares. Works great for me. I have 1 1/4''
McGill & a 1 5/8' Marvy. Both have nice, long reaches. Get a hold of
a Mike's or JoAnn's coupon, so they're not so spendy. Good luck!
Thank you all for your help! Now I know what to do with my Michael's coupon tomorrow. Where do you find a coupon for JoAnn's?
By the way, how did I become a "cardstock collector"? Do I change that in my profile? ... Not that there's anything wrong with a cardstock collector!!!
I use my square colluzzle cutter. I take and cut it on 3 sides, then I slide it down to where I want it to end and cut the remaining 3 sides, making sure I keep my side cuts lined up. Very easy, and that way I can have ANY size rectangle!!!
The JoAnn coupon in their sale flyer, just like Mike's, in the Sunday paper.
They don't always have one every weekend, but they did this past week-
end so check your Sunday paper again.
Thank you again for everyone's ideas/help. This is the first time I've posted a question...I've been a quiet, but obsessive, observer. I just can't get enough of this site! There is always something new!
Happy stamping!
