Default Printing on shrink plastic?

I wanted to make my sister a charm bracelet for Mother's Day with various stamps and pictures of her boys.

Has anyone tried to print something onto shrink plastic? I tried and it didn't take. Tried scratching up the plastic first... and everything just slid right off. :(

Just wondering if there are any tips out there- or if it's just not worth trying...

Many thanks for your help
Kelly

Try to find the computer printable Shrinky Dink material. I found it at Michael's & as long as you follow the directions exactly (lighten your original photo) it works great!

I've had great results w/stazon ink. It's a little slippery so take it easy when you stamp so it doesn't slide. have fun

Didn't know they had computer-printable kind, either!!!

Hooray- thanks! I think this will be EXACTLY what I'm looking for.

Oh darn, another reason to head to Michaels after work tonight...

Thank you everyone!

I used my inkjet printer. The ink never did dry even after shrinking so I sealed it with acrylic sealer. Worked well. You just need to be careful handling the charm until you seal it.

This just came up a couple of weeks ago. Grafix makes shrink plastic in the "regular" variety, and also for inkjet, and for laser jet. Be sure you buy the correct one. wilde-ideas.com sells it, and often has it on sale.
