Ok, you SCS'ers are the most creative people I know, so I need a little help! I want to make my sister a Pregnancy Survival Kit, and I need some ideas on what to put inside...here are the ideas I have so far:
Tums
Hemmorroid cream
Massage oil/scented lotion
Bottle of water
Pregancy journal
..and I can't think of anything else..can you? TIA!!!
Palmers Stretch Mark Lotion(I have no stretch marks, I rubbed that stuff every day on my belly)
Soft slipper socks( I loved these while I was preggo, but it was winter too)
Chocolate!!
Mostly I didnt buy a ton of maternity stuff, I pretty much just bought baby stuff all the time lol. I didnt even were much maternity clothes either, I bought the low rise jogging pants in juniors section in a bigger size and loved Old Navy maternity tees. Maybe stick her a gift card in for there, their tees are very comfy.
Definitely Preggy Pops! This is a must for morning sickness. They are sold on the net, or at most maternity stores. They saved my life during the first 16 weeks (yes, that long!).
If this is her first, she might like a What to Expect When You're Expecting type of book. Also some of those elastic laces for shoes that you can put in to replace laces, no tying is good! I agree about the flip flops or sandals, but I am in my last timester now and need a good pair of shoes to go walking for excercise. A bath pillow is one of my must haves. Maybe some kind of foot soak treatment or some oatmeal bath for that itchy belly. Support hose. Recipies for yummy, healthy treats. What would be nice but I know wouldnt fit is a broken scale that always reads 125!
Location: prolly in my 'rubber room'... in the mid-west

(time really flies! love the smell of a baby... oh the days!)
babies are truly a miracle from GOD!
I thought of one more thing--you could make a really nice small certificate looking thing that gives the bearer permission to whine or complain about her pregnancy symptoms to you at any time, and guarantee a listening ear. Thats what every expecting mama needs!
Anything minted flavor helps some women with upset stomach ohh and crackers.. morning sickness as well.. eat before you get out of bed helps alot. These things helped me I just got done with my third pregnancy..
I don't know about her, but I am going through a huge Ice Cream phase.. maybe a gift certificate for a trip to the ice cream store to get something yummy...
*Saltines for morning sickness
*The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy Book (It is a funny one)
*Maternity PJ's and soft slippers
*Thank you cards
*pciture frame for ultrasound
*crossword puzzle/sudoku books to take to the hospital
*subscription to Parents magazine
*nail files (my nails grew like crazy!)

I think I'll make one of these for myself next time around...poor DH...
Oyster crackers and M&M's! I couldn't stomach the thought of an entire cracker first thing in the morning, but the oyster crackers were smaller and I could just eat one at a time. M & M's = chocolate-what more do I need to say!
These are great ideas, thank you all so much for your suggestions! I was going to put the things in a paint can, but there is so much I want to get for her I may have to alter a big ol' box instead!!!

Ohhh, a gift certificate to a restaurant might be nice, so she can send her dh if she is too sick to cook...or one from you that you will come clean for her!
ice pops for summer
a pretty sun hat
sunscreen for her face. I got some PG freckles that enlarged and never went away!
hair bands
a fan
a disposable camera to get all the pics of her belly in one place, if she chooses to take them.
