I left comments too! You are such a good mom to let your kids stamp with you. I need to lighten up a bit and let my 6 yr old daughter do more with me in my craft room. I'm too particular and need to realize that it's just "stuff" and it really doesn't matter in the big picture...but memories and together time do matter. Thanks for reminding me of this!! Your children did a super job! Thanks for letting me help put a smile on their face!
Hi Leslie,
You know, your kids really did a nice job on both of the cards. You are teaching them well.
Enjoy your Hawaiin sunshine, we're heading for our coldest temps of the season here in Minnesota.

One thing that you could try is to let your daughter go through your stamps and pick out the ones that she would like to color and you can stamp them for her. Then take out your old markers and supplies - your scrap papers and if you're anything like me you have a ton of and let her rip.
I knit, crochet, rug hook, embroidery and I use to do ceramics and for years I tried to get my daughter interested in SOMETHING ANYTHING so we could do it together. But she wanted no part of any of it.
It wasnt until she went away to college that I started paper crafting and stamping and every time she came home for break she wanted to make some cards with me. I treasure each time we spend together doing crafts but Im sorry that I waited for her to go away for me to start this when I think of all the lost time we could have had together. Your right its just stuff and having my mom die before I was one and living without any memories of her, Ive found that I jump through hoops to find things that I can do with her to give her memories to hold onto.
I hope I wasnt out of line, you sound like you really love your daughter and I hope you have lots of new memories that include inky fingers.
Adrian and Leslie...I'm sorry for the mini hijack here, but I thought I'd share that I got out a new 8x8 album that I've had in the closet because my daughter has been telling me that she wants to be a "professional scrapbooker like momma" (boy, I've got her fooled!!). I gave it to her and let her do a few pages. She picked out stamps and I even let her stamp and color them! Thanks for the inspiration. She loves this stuff and I need to help encourage her talents. Thanks again!!
Looks like you have 2 great stampers in your household! It's wonderful that you all share this great hobby!

I used to be an avid cross-stitcher when ds was very young. He would sit in my lap and I let him push the needle up or in or whatever and do you know, as a teenager he sews his own patches, buttons, etc. I have a wonderful feeling when I remember him snuggling up with me and doing some stitching and he learned a life skill at the same time. Crafting with kids is wonderful together time. As a picture framer, I always remind parents that "no one else in the world has this picture" when they bring in "kid art" for framing.
