Default Please help me!! I'm desperate - 6x6 calendars

First...here's some background on this story: I had scheduled a 6x6 desktop calendar stamp camp and when I ordered the calendars they weren't going to be delivered in time (I got caught in that SLOW shipping vortex) so...my downline had already ordered and received hers so I asked if I could have hers and then when my came in I would just give her mine. My stamp camp was Sunday - a huge success, lots of fun. Anyway.... ..imagine my surprise when yesterday my order arrives and in it is 16 Birthday Calendars - NOT 6x6 desktop calendars!!! Apparently I ordered the WRONG things!! I can honestly say in 2 years as a demo I have NEVER made a mistake like this. So...yesterday, after I realized my total screw up I ordered 16 6x6 desktop calendars and had them shipped expedited shipping. Guess What????!!! That order shipped out last night with NO calendars. Apparently they are on backorder - although they aren't on the list. My downline's class is next weekend (I think) and she won't have any calendars. Argh. DS wasn't a lot of help - My main complaint is that these calendars weren't on the backordered list so I had no way of knowing they wouldn't be shipped out. And I paid the extra $20 to get a bunch of stuff I don't need right away. AAAHHH!! I've never had an issue with SU! before (except for the fact that my - along w/everyone elses - aquapainter & black stampin spots that I ordered on August 8th haven't shipped yet).
Anyway...does anyone have an abundance of these calendars they are hoarding for a rainy day and can part with them until I get mine in?

Here's a .pdf file for the calenders if you don't mind printing them out yourself...just have them wire bound at a copy shop after you cut them out on the lines.
Attached Files
File Type: pdf 6x6_calendar.pdf (118.3 KB, 268 views)

Sorry, not a demo, so I can't help. But it might help you if you put exactly what you need in the title of this post. Someone might see it who hasn't opened this post yet.

Hope you get them, Kris

How would this be against policy? Are you not allowed to use supplies at a stamp camp if they aren't SU's? If so, I know plenty of people that violate that policy routinely.

It would be against policy if they were passed off as SU calendars.

I'm not saying she *should* pass them off as SU calendars...

Here's my take:
She has planned a 6 x 6 calendar stamp camp. She ordered the calendars, but due to a variety of issues, doesn't have them. I see several possibilities:
1. Have a 16x16 stamp camp instead (that's what was delivered, right?)
2. Print out other calendars on SU cardstock
3. Have some other kind of camp, explaining the SNAFU
4. Cancel the camp altogether.

I really see nothing wrong with using your printer to create what you need. If your customers ask, you can tell them that you printed the calendars and offer them the file, or give them the option to buy the ones from the catalog- letting them know that they may be on backorder, although they're not on the official backorder list.

IMHO, the fact that she's paid for expedited shipping, but still not getting the calendars in time is bogus. I don't like the fact that you can't change the shipping method if the items you want fast are on backorder.

Okay ~ clear as mud. Heather, I didn't think you were saying to pass them off as SU calendars and I think suggesting a substitute and explaining the issue is a great idea. I know as a customer I always appreciate honesty. Tell them what happened and how you rescued the camp, you just might sell some CS cause our US White CS is the best!!

I figured not, but I thought I'd make my intentions clear before this became a big ole mess!

Does anyone else have any of these calendars they can part with? I'll know more about where this whole mess stands tomorrow (supposedly) after I talk to DS again.
