Exclamation Place card holder Wire Need Help

Hi, Ladies
Hope you can help me? I have to make placecard holders. I just need the wire with the curve to hold the person's name. Where can I get this wire from? or how would I make it? I have checked Michael, Joann's, AcMoore. They have it but with something attached it to. Again I just need the wire with the curved top. Please help me.
Thanks.

I don't know exactly, but could you just buy any wire and curve it around yourself? You would have to find the right "weight" or whatever it would be called so that it was sturdy enough to stand up but flexible enough for you to bend it....like maybe the floral wire at Michael's or any store. Also, just thought....what about using those really large paperclips instead of wire? They might be more expensive though. I think you could get them at Walmart or an office supply store.

I made my own curved wire pieces for my wedding - I used

18 Guage Bright Stem Wire

I found it in the floral section of Michaels. it comes in long (18 inch?) pieces and they are packaged in a long brown paper envelope. It bends nicely with pliers (not your fingers - a bit too stiff) and it holds it's shape really well. The only problem I had was that it has a slight coating on it that tends to come off, so if you're holding white paper with it, once you get it inserted, you can't move it around too much because it makes a dirty smudge. I suppose if you washed it in a sink full of Dish soap, or maybe CLR or something it would clean it up nicely.

Minde turned out really well, and everyone liked them a lot. I have attached a photo but the wire is a bit hidden - the curl that you see at the bottom of the square is the top end of the wire. We curled the top, then strung some beads on it, then it slipped in under the napkin rings that we made. (I hope that makes sense!!)

Anyways, hope that helps! Good luck!
