We said we were not getting another dog as well, but shortly after we found out our dog was dying we saw a puppy we just had to have. I'm so glad we have our new puppy now and at the same time I know my other dog is at peace because she is not suffering anymore.

It's very difficult, but I know that she is finally out of pain. The time we spent working together really helps, as every day I see something in my office that brings a conversation we had back to me. Just this morning I looked at my stapler...(stolen off my ex-husband's desk!!!! Yep, we were devious to that man! LOL) and I remember my mother laughing like a maniac when she saw it on MY desk here in my office, 9 years later! LOL

It was so good that you have a puppy to love right now...You know, we ended up with 2 Boxers after Dog died....They are just over a year old now.

I probably shouldn't have opened this one and started reading it, because I'm sitting here at my kitchen table crying.

We just lost our beloved Max (the Maximus cat) one week ago today. He lived a nice long life (he was 18) but it was still hard and we miss him.

Agree with Understanding Blue, we lost our beloved black lab in Jan. and some days I will start thinking of her and have tears in my eyes. Hugs too all of you.
