Just wondering, cause I saw them in a magazine, and they look interesting... I found some cards in the gallery using these pens, but I wonder what your experience has been with them.. Thanks!
My michael's has them. They are right next to the Glaze pens. I just bought a pack of the Souffle ones with my 50% off coupon and I love them! I think the white one actually looks more like thread than the SU white gel pen. :shock:

The white one is fantastic on dark CS--but you have to wait until it dries! When I first used mine I was really disappointed in the light, milky look it had and set it aside as a reject. But later when I glanced at the sample, I was amazed at how bright and crisp the white was--good thing I didn't pitch the pen right off! I haven't used any other colors, but love the white.

Souffle pens are opaque and have a flat finish; Glaze pens are translucent and have a glossy finish. Both dry to a raised, "embossed" finish.
Ooo...thanks for that info. I have the glaze pens and absolutely LOVE them! They work great on the cartoon images I have been stamping. I love the clear because I can use a SU marker to get the right color and use the clear glaze pen to emboss it...though sometimes the marker colors will run.
But I would love to have some opaque ones too! Guess I'll be getting those at Michael's tomorrow.
Sorry I didn't get back in here, but I have a terrible head cold and went to sleep early yesterday, lol. I love to color in daisies etc with the souffle pens, they are beautiful. Sometimes it take a bit to get them running just like any pen, so I scribble a bit on scrap paper until the ink is flowing then I color with them.

They tend to absorb down into the paper, and do not produce nearly as high a loft as I was anticipating, which disappointed me initially.
Then, I found out that, by reading the packaging (d'oh!) that Sakura Glaze and Souffl� pens are designed to work specifically on non-porous surfaces, such as plastic, transparency, glass, glossy card stock etc. Results on card stock/paper will vary.
When I watched the demos and make & takes going on at CHA, I was very impressed at how they performed on transparency. The designer showed how she actually pressed the tip of the pen to the transparency, rather than dragging it, and this caused the ink to pool out and fill in the image; the silver stickers she used functioned to contain the ink within each area.
Very cool! And, the results with the Glaze Pens resembled stained glass. Beautiful effect! The Souffl� produce an opaque effect.
One sample she showed featured the opaque white to color in a sheep, and then the Glaze white over that to create little bumps, that made the sheep look "wooly". I 'bout fell off my chair when I saw that one!

Wanna try something really cool? Color in an image with the Stardust pens, then go over the top with the Clear Glaze pen!!!! SO COOL!!!!! :cool:

I just got a set of these and have been playing around with them, I was at first disappointed because I tried them on a cheap lightweight cs, and alot of it got absorbed but then I tried it on CTMH card stock, which is coated and it works great! I did faux stitching in white on a dark blue and it really popped
I just love these pens. I have the Souffle and the Glaze pens. At Scrapfest they used them with the gold and silver stickers that the outline peels away. You just use the outline and fill them in with the pens. It looks really cool. I have made one card so far using this technique.

I have 2 sets of Glaze pens and 1 set of Souffle pens up for trade! I love LOVE em. I guess I loved them way too much because I bought several sets at a time and discovered that they last forever and I don't need that many of them.

1 set of Glaze pens come in 6 earthy colors
1 set of Souffle pens come in 10 pastel colors

I have the Souffle pens & love them. I'd like the Glaze pens as well, but can't find them at Joann or Michaels. I've seen them at stamp stores, but I really don't want to pay $20 for pens (yes, I'm cheap --I used a 40% coupon at Joann to buy the Souffles)
I'd be happy with just the clear Glaze pen --can't find it anywhere :(
