Default Souffle Pens....

Anyone have these? They look pretty shibby in their pretty little box at Hobby Lobby, but I couldn't decide if I absolutely had to have them. I was nervous because they only sold the box with all the colors in them...and was worried that I wouldn't use them all!

I did buy Stickles though...many many many stickles.

I feel so uneducated. What are soufle pens and what are stickles?

Souffle pens, apparently, are these wicked cool pens that when dry, leave a raised spot on the paper....like 3D or something? Is that right, ladies?

And stickles are little bottles of like....glitter glue that you can embellish cards with. They're awesome....I never bought one till I heard one of the girls on SCS talk about them....and now I own 9.

I was thinking about getting some Souffles from Joannes, but… I’ve read in other post that Glaze Gelly pens are better!

Does anyone know what difference is?

I was just hesitant at buying the ten pack in case I hated it. I guess, however, that I would be able to 'unburden' ( ) them on some poor and unsuspecting SCS'er if I did!

I love them, own 3 packs. I also own the sakura glaze pens. Like them too, but they are a very different look. I get mine on ebay.

Anyone know of any local craft stores (Like Michael's or Joann's) that just sells them in less than 10 packs?

I am sure that everyone else knows this, but it was news to me, you can go on line and download a coupon for Hobby Lobby. This is the week they have a coupon. I was told that it is every other week.
FYI if you have to have the Souffle pens.

I have both (yes I do have a problem). The souffle are opaque and the gelly roll look like stained glass. Both are raised when dry and do need a drying time.(20 min is enough) I like them both, just depends on what you like.

You know you want them, so just download that coupon!!

I saw a demonstration on souffle pens, jelly roll pens and glaze pens. They are all great. The stamping store where I buy some of my supplies sells them in packages of two (same color) as well as the large multi colored packages. I have also seen the jelly roll pens sold individually.

You can color with the lelly roll pens and the glaze pens are great for giving a 3d outline. So far I have only used the clear ones. The souffle pens are great for adding 3d dimensionals and colors, like icing on a cake.

OK, It's all your fault. I just came back from Jo's on my lunch hour and bought the 10 pack of Souffle pens. BTW, they are on sale for 40% off. No coupon needed.

*Pout* We don't have a Jo's up in Canada. I went to the one in Federal Way, Washington last week and they didn't have the souffle pens (they were on my list of things to buy when in the States). I managed to part with $300 on other stuff 'though!!!

glaze are more transparent. they need drying time . you can let them dry COMPLETELY and go back over the area for more dimension. you can also go over a colored area (pencils) to get more intense and raised color(too many steps for me) if you are coloring side by side (flowers and centers) make sure to let the first area dry before coloring a touching area.

the souffle pens are pastel and opaque. they make good cake frosting and easter egg decorations. (there are two color sets of glaze pens) both souffle and glaze raise to the same level (about like embossing ,NOT like puff paint and certainly NOT as pictured on the souffle packaging.) they require extra drying time and perform best on non porous surfaces.

you need them all but if i could only have one < I would choose glaze pens.

Hi Jenn! Did you get these at Hobby Lobby here in San Antonio? I looked at my HL today & didn't see them, just the glazed, but wonder if the one closer to you has them.
