Never liked the staples - always looks sloppy to me! Never could make any type of torn edge look good. I just sold all but one pair of my deco scissors - I kept the scallop pair! I also sold my light box and all my brass templates. I tried the templates in my cuttlebug, but wasn't worth the trouble either. Sold my tearing edge too! I thought I really had something when I bought drywall tape to use in place of magic mesh - I still have it - I think I'll use it someday.... Never used wire, metal rimmed tags, bottle caps. I thought bleaching was cool back in the day...only did that a couple of times. I never did scrapbooking, but what's wrong with the shapes for cropping? Also, why are eyelets out, especially since the cropadile came out to facilitate their use? Used dew drops for a short while - just didn't like the bulkiness. I agree with some others - I have a TON of ribbon - hope that doesn't go out! And I love my nesties and cuttlebug. I hope scalloped edges never go out either! Just bought the Fiskars apron scallop punch!

I think it has to do with losing the context of the photo.. If you have have a picture of someone doing something, and you cut around just that person, you run the risk of seeing the picture later and realizing you have no clue what is going on in hte picture. Sure journaling might solve the problem, but IMHO, it still looks tacky.

As for eyelets, I'm not sure they are out completely. I just think that not everyone feels the need to have one on everything. I am still trying to get eyelets to flare nicely on both sides.
