Default Papertrey releases tonight...?

...I'm probably the only one, but for once, I'm not crazy about any of PTI's new releases scheduled for tonight. Although I love their cardstock, chocolate brown is not a must have for me. I may get the ribbons in the future, just not now. As far as the stamps....ehhhh---they're OK. Not crazy about owls in general, I like the quilting one, but--it can wait. I'm going to be saving a bundle!! Which is a good thing because I'm BROKE, LOL.
I'm also disappointed that they're only releasing one color:( .

I just looooove Quilters Sampler/Sentiments and will definitely get those, but I've got plenty of flower sets so I won't be getting Flower Frenzy. And I haven't jumped on the Owl bandwagon...yet :-D

I am definitely getting the quilt set. I am like Nicole in that I read the Quilter's Apprentice but don't know a lick about sewing so I want to make quilted cards and such. Finding a set like Papertrey's is going to be so much fun to play with. Especially if you mix it up with the Guidelines set. And the bad part was that I told myself I was not going to spend anymore. Arrrrgh.

I have never been so excited about one of of their releases. I can hardly wait to place an order. The quilter set is a must have for me, and her paper is just the greatest.

I am going to be getting the new dark chocolate paper, ink, and ribbon!!! I've been holding off on getting SU! chocolate chip!

I am in love with the owl set. I haven't gotten any other owls b/c I wasn't totally in LOVE, but it was made by my favorite designer Alli, and I think it is just to fabulous that you can build your own owl!!!

Please stop convincing me that I NEED this set...just kidding!!! But the more I see of Alli's creations with the set, the more I think it would be so much fun to play with.

I'm with you - I've been wanting a good owl set, but haven't loved any yet - I'm excited about this one! Does anyone know (maybe she mentioned it on her blog and I just missed it) if the quilter set will be the same scale as the Guidelines set? I didn't get that last month, but if they work well together I might have to add it on this time.

This may be the first month ever that I want all the stamp sets. As a quilter, I need the quilts sets. Then I've been wanting an owl set (too!) and since it was made by Alli, it's a definite must. I also like how you can use the different bellies with Guide Lines. I love creating my own background designs! Plus I want the new Dark Chocolate cardstock and some matching ribbon. I'm not big fan of vellum so that saves me $8-$14. I can't wait to place my order!!!!!!

I, too, have been holding off on the owls b/c I haven't seen any that just "grabs" me. I'm definitely loving the PTI owl set and plan on getting that one. I'm also getting the chocolate paper and DP chocolate paper and some of their other colored c/s. I totally LOVE the weight of PTI's c/s. PTI Rocks!

not into owls or quilting, so no interest there. maybe flower frenzy. but definitely the chocolate ribbon and CS. not crazy about the pattern paper.

i'm waiting for the day that PTI comes out with a coffee set. that will be on my "to buy" list for sure.

I like everything! The Owl set is really clever - may have to seriously consider. I have quite a few owl stamps, but nothing like this one, and I love what she did with it!

I haven't been this excited in a while about a PTI release...and man, am I ticked about that. What is Nichole playing at? Just when my budget is feeling ever so much better and when I feel like I've got my spending under control, that woman up and offers OWLS (love them!), QUILTS (mom, aunt, and MIL are big-time quilters), and adorable FLOWERS in just my style, all in the same month. Darn her, darn her all to heck!

Whew. Thanks for letting me vent about this. And yes, my credit card is pre-positioned and ready for damage.;)

Hmmm. I'm on the border of which ones, if any, I need. I really love the owls, but I have the CHF set, which I think is enough for now. As far as the quilting set goes, I think I will eventually get it after I see more samples.

I guess I should starting saving!

So far, it's only previews as the complete sets won't be revealed until the release party tonight. However, you can go to Nichole's blog to see bits and pieces. You can see the preview specific to the quilting set here. Debbie also has a sample on her blog.

I am sad that I have not been in to any of the releases this month or last :(! The paper and ribbon? Definitely but I am saving up for free shipping. Guess it's a good think cause I don't have any extra money right now!

Between a co-worker and myself, we're buying just about everything being released this month!! I'm supposed to be on a budget, but Alli totally got me with her owl set. Although I'd prefer it to be a little more cutesy, I really love that it's buildable - so clever!! I'll probably want the flower set too and my co-worker's really wanting the quilt set. I may also add on guidelines, and bitty blessings, and all the choco stuff... oh wait. Did I say I'm on a budget???

Hmmm... I'm on the fence. I really don't need to be spending the money right now, but I do kind of like the owls set. The quilting set I'm definitely not into. I already have the Kim Hughes owls and the Gina K. owls... plus SU's owls are coming out soon.... somebody talk me out of ANOTHER owl set!
I will definitely get the chocolate paper and ribbon though, not sure about the patterned paper. I only own one of the sets it coordinates with. We'll see... I always eat my own words and end up spending oodles!

I just read a news story that within the next 18 months they (the government) expect 150 banks to close. Guess I better go get the few dollars I have left and invest in PTI stamps! I am loving the owl and the quilt set.

Just HAD to order that Owl set - so innovative! But - I was disappointed that the owl bellies were not available. Why not, I wonder?

I ordered the Owl Bellies.....right after Midnight EST. Stuff wasn't up on the site right away, took some refreshing of the pages for me to get everything to come up right. Maybe that's it?

I think I would've liked the quilt set, if I knew any quilters! I may get it @ a later date, but it wasn't a must-have this time. I DID order the Bitty Baby Blessings set, though I'd held off on it a few months ago. Now my neighbor is preggers.....so I decided it was such a versatile set that I had to have it! I don't have much in the way of baby sets because I had mine so long ago and for a long time didn't know anyone having babies!

I love the quilt set but don't see an immediate need for it just yet, the others, well, don't see a need for them at all. What I REALLY want is the Out On A Limb additions! When that comes back into stock I'll be ordering the new Brown and the Vanilla c/s, oh yes, and some ribbons.

I just tried to place an order but found out that the guidelines set was out of stock, so I am patiently waiting and then I will get both the quilt sets and the guidelines. I am also anxious to try the new twill vellum.

Ladies can anyone confirm...I thought yesterday I saw a blurb somewhere on the site that the Dark Chocolate is the previous Burnt Umber. I want the Dark Chocolate all of it but if this is the case I already have the ink pad and refill. I just cannot find that again to confirm.
Thanks for your assistance.
Blessings.

Default PTI

Is there such a thing as brand fatigue? If there is, maybe I've got it. It seems to me that when PTI was just getting started (well, after the first three months) I bought something, sometimes A LOT of somethings, every month. I qualified for the anniversary set.

I was looking at the sets this morning and thinking that I liked a couple, like Guidelines, Boards and Beams and the Honeybe sets, but I just am not buying. Why? Is it that I don't like them as much as the ones that I have previously bought, or am I just being more discriminating and asking myself how much I really will use a particular set? I love the ones that I have, but there's nothing in my cart right now.

Perhaps I'm feeling a bit guilty that I have sets from my SU party that haven't been inked yet. I know that this won't be a permanent situation, but it still has me thinking about buying habits and cycles.

This is the link to the explanation about the Burnt Umber ink pad being the same as the Dark Chocolate.

I loved all the sets from this month's release. I actually used the "I want it all" button for the stamp sets only for the first time ever! I can't wait to get them in and play.

I can't stay up for the release. My husband and I get up wicked early, so I decided to wait till the morning. I logged on at 6:30am and everything I wanted was sold out!! Ugh.

And I didn't even want any of the sets from today's release. Just some old stuff. Oh well, guess it'll wait till next month. I can't justify spending $$ for shipping some paper, you know?

I love PTI, and order from them pretty much every month, but I am getting a little weary of having so much of their stuff out of stock - I know they were having a problem with Aqua Mist ink, but I've been trying to order it for months with no luck. Their forum says it was supposed to be re-stocked in time for this month's release, but I still can't get it. I don't really understand why they run out of their other stock so frequently, either - I really don't want to have to place a whole separate order later just for the Owl Bellies and some vellum.

I agree with you! I'm not a quilter, but the set is excellent and has tons of possibilities. The flowers...got stuff from Lizzie Ann Designs that is similar and they have one set already titled "Floral Frenzy". The owls...Kim Hughs at CHF (You're a Hoot set or something like that). The owl bellies are a cute idea, so I am thinking of just getting the add-on set because those would be awesome to make patterned paper!

I also wish to try out their paper. Haven't heard a bad thing yet about them. I'll definitely be getting the ribbon. Can't have enough brown ribbon and the chocolate shade is great!

OK, I'm babbling now....off to shop!

I wanted some nestabilities pieces this month, too. Out of stock! I don't know what's up with Owl Bellies either. Wouldn't you think it was going to be popular?I only order when I can get free shipping, but this month I can't make it work and I don't want to pay for shipping! I have to think about what I can add to my cart so I can get free shipping.

I think they probably order limited stock so as not to have extras onhand that they can't sell. I don't imagine there is much demand for older sets after a month or two after the release. But I agree- there has been quite a bit more out of stock lately. It's so frustrating!

I was going to spend $50+ this month but all of the sets I wanted were out of stock. So instead I will wait till next month and consider it their loss. More money for something else I guess.

My problem is that I want too much. SCS has too many great member companies. And there are the tempting banner ads from Lizzie Anne, etc. (Its up there now looking all cute and inviting, saying buy me, buy me).
