I have seen sites that have wooden 12 x 12 paper storage units, but I didn't save the links. Does anyone have links to sites that offer this type of paper storage?
There are sooooo many kinds of paper storage. Were you thinking cabinetry or hanging files or plastic trays.... I'd love to be able to point you in the right direction.
I just went to check out this site and I see they don't have the paper storage advertised anymore, but they did not too long ago. Maybe you could contact them and see if they still have them! I think four 12x12 boxes was $120. Each section was capable of holding one color group from SU.
I have the cropper hopper 12x12 paper storage. 4 of them sit on my desk, 2 with cardstock and 2 with patterned paper. You can get dividers for them as well to seperate your colors. Best part, is they are only $6! More money to spend on stamps!!
My husband makes paper storage racks as well as ink pad storage racks. They have 12 slots (one for each color in a color family). They are available in 8 1/2 x 11 or 12 x 12 and are $25 each. Just let me know if you would like additional information ~ our e-mail address is [email protected]. Here are pictures of both sizes.
New Viking code is QL2 - saw it on another post. Just substitute QL2 for the first 3 letters/numbers of the item number, and in most cases, a lower price appears!
I'm single...but I just wanted everyone to know that I am adding CRAFTY to my list of "husband attributes" that I am looking for in a man.
Some of you have the coolest stuff from your "crafty husbands"...so cool!!!

LOL, Handy with a toolbelt is what I think you defintitely need (heck, what every woman needs!) I get excited just watching a man wave a hammer on design shows. Sad, I know. My hubby is all thumbs when it comes to tools. I forgot that part of the list. Sigh. But he is a great cook! Yeah, I get jealous of all the stuff all your DH's make --
I just started organizing my 8x11 c/s and made file folder labels with the names of each color, organized by color family. I am using some Pendaflex poly file folders that I had found, which are Great! You pay a little more for them, but they are ultradurable and waterproof and guaranteed for life! I tend to be a little rushed when it comes to looking for stuff, so the durable-ness of this was a plus for me!
The 12 x 12 c/s is in Cropper Hopper hanging file folders, and then propped up in a rubbermaid clear container. I spent so much on the file folders my DH wouldn't let me justify spending any more on the cropper hopper, LOL! Maybe with my gift card and 40% coupon this week!
I got my Cropper Hopper paper storage through www.stickerplanet.com because the shipping is way cheaper than Cropper Hopper's website. I think that the Current website (www.currentcatalog.com) might have them too, I think I saw them in the print catalog my mom had.
I just went vertical with my paper and I have to say I gained a TON of space! I had a bunch of boxes that are exactly like the USPS Priority Mailing boxes and I just cut them down on a slant (so the side of the box is exposed halfway down) and put the paper in there by color/pattern/theme. I gained about two feet of storage space AND I had added a LOT of paper that I had stacked around here and there in my stamp room (which looks like it had its own personal tornado rip through it, but that's another story for another day!).
If you can get the same kind of boxes from the USPS (not sure if they sell them or if they are free or what, but it made a huge difference for me - and what's more is now I can really see what I have whereas before when all the different shades of, say, red were stacked, I had to pick up the whole pile to sift through where now I can see the colors easily.
OMG, you're brilliant!! LOL. I have a ton of those (ebay shipping, lol) I'm going to go cover them, and stamp them and put my paper in them!!
I just made my paper holders like the ones Bren wrote about that she had made...OMG I love them already. I actually was able to get 2 out of each box. You have no idea how greatful I am!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
