Has anyone else seen the new paint chips that Lowes has, all the textured and marbled ones? Also they have the 3 color large squares but on the bottom of each color they have a square punched out, totally cool!!! I just gotta say I love Lowes!!!
Wow, and darn I don't even know where there is a Lowe's...I live in Canada but travel to the US a bit...so will have to be on the lookout. Does anyone know if Home Depot carries something similar?

Home Depot, has some nice ones, but I have never seen anything like this before. I would be more than happy next time I go to grab you some if you want and I can send them up to you. Email me if you want.

Wanted to thank you again, Kristen...you're a sweetie!

Wet blanket remark: this is just a reminder to *ask* for paint chip samples. They are not free, they are provided as a promotional item for the purchase of the product. You wouldn't want people asking you for SU! items for free for a totally unrelated purpose. Unless, of course, it builds good will!
oh I forgot the other part cause I was so excited, I am sure that most of you know this trick but I thought that I would pass it along as well, If you take the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (completely dry) and rub on the color names and numbers on the paint chips, it removes it all completely but does not effect the color of the paint chip!!

You gotta love that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I wish that they had them when my kids were little. I am glad that I can now use it when my grandson gets ahold of the sharpie markers. The eraser worked wonders on my coffee table.

OH YIPPEEEEE!!! I love the magic eraser..and now finding out the greatest tip of all. I just went to Lowes today and picked up just a couple of colors I wanted. Our Lowes didn't have wallpaper books to get rid of. They told me the distributor/dealer takes the old books back. (referring to another topic I read about using old wallpaper books for background paper..etc)
enchntdgal - thank you!!!! I never knew that would work...how many times have I searched for a small enough image to squeeze between the words on a chip??? This is my yippee moment of the day!
Thanks to this wonderful site, I am a paint chip addict! I found out my husband went to home depot without me & I almost cried!
Lowe's has a GREAT selection of bigger chips and great textures! I found some awesome texture & "print" chips! And don't miss the matelics! My son found great matelic chips!
I saw the metallics and the textures, how awesome are they!! The one thing that I did notice was the the Mr Clean trick did not really work on the those ones so well, although what happened was it kind of took some of the paint off so it looks antiqued, kinda cool as well!
I just finished a swap using paint chips, and after using the Mr. Clean magic eraser on almost all the lettering discovered that using a white eraser worked even better for me.
D

oooooooooooh, thanks so much...I had heard to use the Magic Eraser...but when I did it turned the paint chip shinny...dummy me I wet it first...will try it dry now. Thanks again!

Um, please help me. Where do I get a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? I've heard of them before, but I didn't know that they can erase the lettering off of paint chips. What other uses am I missing with this wonder? Thanks!
You can get Mr. Clean at Target and most other places like that. In a small box. There's a mr. Clean duo eraser now, I just got a free one by clicking on something on their website a few weeks ago.
I picked up a bunch of paint chips tonight at Home Depot - the Disney ones! I deliberately picked ones with words that might be usable, as they are not normal - for example, black is not black, but "Mouse Ears."
I never take more than one of a kind, and I never take too many anyplace I go. And I know you don't have to ask, they don't care - as long as you don't clean out a color!!!

Guess what else? YOu can erase a mistake off your paint chip. I had a smudge and took the eraser from my pastels and presto, a clean paint chip. Isn't that great?
