I am wanting to order from oriental trading but i'm worried about the quality. What items have you ordered that you've been pleased with? I already have the lunchbox tins so i don't need those but was wondering about the different adhesives that they sell? are the flowers anything like primas? What about the giant clothespins or the clipboards?
Any opinions of what to get or not to get are appreciated. thanks!

I have found it's really hit and miss with Oriental Trading. I bought some awesome sparkly brads that were good quality, and I received many compliments on them. Their chipboard is good, too. However, I recently bought some embossing powder that sucks--it just doesn't melt smoothly and ends up looking sticky and gross. I always have a buyer beware attitude with them. I don't pay much $, so I don't expect much in the way of quality.
I've only ordered flower shaped brads, some small blank board books, and autumn leaves clear stamps. The quality of everything has been fine so far. I haven't had any issues with them.
I have ordered from them a couple of times. Actually, just received my second order. I really like their brads and ordered a stamp set for boys. I have not used the stamp set yet. I think it is good quality.
I love lots of their stuff, in fact some of there products do come from "brand" names, I have seen. Brads, jewels, embellishments, adhesive, sticky tapes, glue dots etc etc I love getting. Buttons arent so bad either.
I had ordered some items from them last year. The brads were fine. I would steer clear of any and all Bubble Charm Stickers. You know, the bubble epoxy style stickers. Within 4 months, they were turning yellow. For the most part, Oriental Trading is a hit or miss type of thing. HTH

Ordered a few items from them that were OK to very good quality, but they have very good customer service. I ordered a product that came damaged and they credited me for it and said just keep it, don't bother sending it back!
Quality is an issue with them, I have found. Just don't have too high of expectations and you should be fine. You'll be pleasantly surprised if whatever you order is great, or not be too disapointed if things don't work out. I've heard of brads breaking (the prongs) from them and other things like that. But wouldn't hurt to try some things out!
I think my answer will be similar to what you have already gotten. The huge clips were great! Brads, eyelets are great! I have not bought any stamps or inks, I'm kinda leary! But have been thinking about buying the scrubbing pad thingy for stamps!
They do have some "brand name" items in their catty too- I would imagine those would be the same quality for that brand as anywhere else. I have been wanting to try some of their paper pack- the Bazzill. They also sell some Basic Grey and Fiskars Items and I would not be surprised if those lever punches are made by Marvy.
I am glad to hear that most people have good luck with the brads. Those sparkly ones get my attention everytime.....I may just have to order some...
It really is hit and miss...plus you have to be careful with things for kids from them because of the potential for lead

LOVE the giant clothespins. I used both the natural and the painted. FYI: the naturals were dusty and had to be cleaned with a damp cloth before use.
I have purchased the lunch box tins, and lots n lots of embellishments, I have always been happy with that stuff. I ordered the variety pack of papers that were black N white prints and it was very thin, not good quality paper. I would order brads and stuff in a minute.
