Default Opening up thread for anyone looking for info on the following .....

I was wondering since there are so many new techniques out there all the time ,and products and fun folding techniques that I would try to get as many people to post websites on here where you can find information so that we can all post it here for use to everyone. Then all we have to do is write it down and have a list of all these great websites to do all this fun stuff.and use it in our swaps.and classes or stamp camps and pass the info on to everyone.

So how about it ladies.lets make a list of websites and please say what they are for.

here is list of stamping techniques websites.

Here are a few I have saved:

Techniques such as distressing, altered books, art dolls, backgrounds, spirella, paper making...(also great gallery and journal at this site)
http://www.lisavollrath.com/articles/

Sources of tips and techniques, many times geared to specific products:
http://www.rubberstampsclub.com/rubb...echniques.html
http://netnet.net/~cloud9/tips/index_tips.html
http://www.stampnaround.com/tipsandtechniques.shtml

Soldering glass slides/frames (great PDF you can download on soldering):
http://www.volcanoarts.biz/muse/photoframes/index.htm

Monthly newsletter, with a monthly "cruise" featuring different locations (great ideas for Asian art, Celtic motifs, etc.) This link is to one particular page in their "Stamping Deck," but there's tons of other stuff on the site:
http://www.ssreflections.com/robin.html

Origami box, iris crane, and a great gallery:
http://www.mootepoints.com/Projects.html

Templates galore, with even more links at the bottom:
http://www.stampersmall.com/templates/

Templates for practical, everyday stuff like CD holders & folders:
http://www.presskits.com/die/templates.html

Altered Books:
http://www.drstamping.com/ab_intro.html#index
http://www.art-e-zine.co.uk/alteredbook.html

Fun listing of general ideas, history of stamping, etc.
http://www.littlebit.com/ideas_rs/ideas_rs_main.htm

Very comprehensive listing of paper related terms:
http://www.papergoods.com/Library/PaperDictionary.shtml

Just looking for a reason to send a card? http://www.theholidayspot.com/
http://www.earthcalendar.net/index.php

OK, now everyone else dig in your favorites to share some more rubber stamping gems!

This is the website I use the most. It's full of fun and thoughtful poems and sayings to put on the inside of cards.

Hey, thanks for all the sites guys. I'll have a look at what I have saved and maybe I can contribute some new technique sites.

www.patstamps.com was one of the first sites I stumbled on that led me indirectly to SCS...they have a technique newsletter you can sign up to get

also surprisingly you can get project ideas from the craft store sites such as www.michaels.com or www.acmoore.com
