Default Aqua Painters or Blender Pens?

Which do you prefer? Up until this point I have only used blender pens but as we all know they eventually dry up. So I have a question for those of you who have used the Aqua Painters. Do they ever become shall I say yucky or dull?! I like how the blender pens can make a sharp line when they're brand new but since I go through them so much it tends to get expensive. Do the Aqua Painters last longer? Since I'll be ordering the Stampin Pastels I was wondering what everyone else prefers. Thanks ahead of time for your opinions!

I like the Blender pens with the pastels & watercolor pencils. But I love the AquaPainter with Classic Ink (from the lid) and Watercolor Wonder Crayons.

I agree! Although I do not have the watercolor wonder crayons yet - I use the blender pens with the pastels and pencils and aquapainter with the ink

I prefer the blender pens. I like lots of control and the blender pens do that.

If I want a really watery effect, I'll use the aquapainter. And when I use an aquapainter, I use it with no water in it and I have a small bowl of water that I dip the painter into...for me it is just a glorified paintbrush.

I like them both and prefer the blender pen for certain things, but then again I prefer the aquapainter for other projects. I would say that I use my aquapainter a lot more than my blender pens. As far as the fine lines, I bought a smaller finer aquapainter brush for this ~ I don't have the SU aquapainters. I bought some from Hobby Lobby and love them, not that SU's aren't great I just couldn't wait and wanted some right away. I have had mine for only about 4-5 months, they are still in good shape, they haven't worn out yet and I use them a lot.

You need the blender pen to use with pastels. The aqua painter is too wet to use and leaves too much moisture in your pastels.

One more thing -- I love the blender pens with the water color crayons. try outlining a stamped image (inside) with the crayon and then use the blender pen to lightly dab -- it blends beautifully and with MUCH less mess than an aquapainter.
