Default Omaha, NE - Archivers

Hi to all in the Omaha area,
I am from Nebraska, but very rarely get to the Omaha area, but I am planning a shopping trip with a good friend of mine in late February to Omaha. I had seen online that a new Archivers store had opened up in Omaha. I was just curious if anyone has gone to this store and what it was like. What type of products will I find in this store. If I go here, will I be able to get all types of embellishments? From pictures I have seen of other Archivers, it looks like it could be a one stop store (won't have a need to go anywhere else). Any opinions or thoughts. Are there any other scrapbooking stores that are a must to go to. Granted I won't be able to go to a lot (maybe one or two) since my friends is not into stamping/scrapbooking, but I know I can twist her arm into stopping once or twice. Thanks for any help you can give!!

Steph -

I can't vouch for the Omaha store but we had an Archivers just open in my area this past summer. It is definately a one stop shop!! Some of their items tend to be a little on the pricey side - but they have EVERYTHING!! Stamps, cardstock, inks, ribbons, embelishments, ANYTHING at all related to Scrapping & Stamping. And all the latest magazines & catalogs. I doubt there could be anything you would be looking for that could not be found at this store. If you are lucky enough you may actually be able to do some make n takes depending on the store.

Have fun. The 1st time I went into Archivers my mouth fell to the floor and then I drooled over most of the products. LOL

HTH!!!

I've never been to Archiver's, but my sister lives in Omaha, and I know she's gone a few times. If there are specific things you're looking for, let me know and I can ask her to look and see if they have them next time she's in.

Thanks, everyone! I am so excited to go there. Kate, thanks for offering to have your sister check stuff out for me. I'm actually not looking for anything in particular. I just want lots of different things!! I see so many new things in magazines, and just want some of everything to try out! I told my friend she may have to leave me for awhile and come back!

They have so many punces there that you will be in heaven! Also-lots of accessory type things. My favorite is the stickers.

But yes-it is a one stop shop-especially for scrapbookers.

As for anywhere else to go? I would say Mangelsons at 84th and Grover-ish (just off the interstate at 84th Street) They have TONS of Jolee's/EK Success stuff there. I think they are the only store carrying 7Gypsies paper-but I could be wrong.

Have fun!

Archivers is based in the Minneapolis area - it is an AWESOME store. When ever I get into the cities I also go. I am in their membership club too and get 15% off all the time!! (woohoo!)

So yes it is an AWESOME store - and sign up for the newsletter, they have good coupons and then you know when they do the free make and takes and about their classes.

I only wish they would get a store in my city... the closest one is about 45 minutes away!

I love our Archiver's store for the amazing variety and selection, but most of all because if you sign up for their mailing list they mail you coupons for FREE things like "5 sheets of cardstock on your next visit" There were three of those coupons in the last mailing. What a nice surprise.

Yep, been to the Omaha store, and it's wonderful. I just wish when I was there that I had brought pages to work on - I would have gotten so much done! They have so much there that you can't just make a quick stop in. You have to browse and go through the store at least two times to be able to take everything in. I found several things the second time through that I didn't even notice the first time.

I was just to the Omaha Archiver's a couple of weeks ago. It's really nice. They have tons of stuff and I ended up getting a membership as I spent over $100. I had some money as Christmas gifts and it was begging to be spent! They have everything you can imagine, from papers, stickers, stamps, pads, embellishment, scrapbooks and also bags and organizers for those crops you may go to! They were very nice and helpful too. I got a chance to go to the one in Minneapolis at the Mall of America. That one is absolutely huge! It was kind of overwhelming. Go and have fun!

Thanks for all your comments! I get more and more excited everytime I think about it! My only wish is that I was closer (live 3 hours away) because I am sure it will be awhile before I will be able to go back. I think the worst thing that could happen is that I spend WAY too much money since I will go wild knowing I won't be back in awhile!
