I got the set of 120 . . . off of viking.com which is now through office max I believe, I got a great price on them.

The stumps are the "rolled cardboard", apparently the ones made in Taiwan are better than the ones from China, but I have only used the ones from China.

I know that certain stores sell the pencils individually too.

Cathy ~ the stumps to use are the solid and not the rolled.

Try to get the stumps that are made in Taiwan, I threw away all my made in China stumps. I was able to find the Taiwan stumps at Hobby Lobby.

I started out with the 48 pack of Prismacolors and then moved onto the 120, Im so happy I did because I love having more colors to choose from.

Hi,
Don't get the rolled ones. (They are not stumps, they are tortillions.) Get the solid ones. As far as the prismas, get the biggest pack you can afford. They are wonderful! I would buy the million pack if they had them! LOL You can get them at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon. Print that from their website or, get them from TAC. I think they have a deal where you can get the for half price with a $100.00 order. Ask a demonstrator. They will give you the details. I usually order $100.00 just in cardstock, scrapbooking paper, ribbon and embellishments!

I just ordered a number of sets from Dick Blick - they had the best prices (except e-bay of course). The disappointing thing about the series I have purchased from e-bay was that they didn't include the newer colors - therefore I figured that I'd rather just get them all from one place that I can count on what is included. I got 120 set on ebay with 2 drawing pads, a drawing book, the pencil accessorie set and 2 sets of drawing pencils for 67.00. That is a great price since Dick Blick wants .92 per pencil. Also the 120 set and above have pumpkin orange, I had to have pumpkin orange.

Unfortunately I also purchased the set of 120 off of e-bay and it only went up to 1079. I had even e-mailed the seller prior to purchasing to inquire whether the series they were selling went up to 1091. They told me it did and when I received the tin it only went to 1079. I was very sad being that I then needed to purchase 11 of the 12 colors individually :(

I only share this story so that if you are looking for specific colors, e-bay might not be the way to go.
