It just occurred to me that this time of year is usually when these challenges are going on. I was moving out of my home in New York during Dare to Get Dirty, so couldn't really participate, and I was moving into my home in Las Vegas during Hope You Can Cling To, so I couldn't really participate. I was REALLY looking forward to Love Fest! Is it not happening? Anyone know?
I always thought it was around now.
I was guessing that with so few member companies, there weren't enough sponsors to make it practicable this year, since the last two years the prizes have all been sponsored by the member companies (and SCS).
Also, it's not listed in the Annual Challenges on the home page (like HYCCT and DTGD).
Just checked - it was 14th to 24th Feb last year. The first year, I think it might only have run 7 days because there were fewer member companies that year?? Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for the info, Bev and Sabrina. It makes sense to pare it down or eliminate it if it hinges on sponsors. I was hoping it would happen - sponsors or not - just for fun! I guess I'll wait for VSN (it's only a couple of weeks, after all)... ;)

I've been looking for it for a couple of days too. And I figured that, because the member companies are down to three, maybe they weren't having it this year. Too bad. :
We have been monkeying with our calendar a bit back behind the curtain and we have decided that outside of our two big sponsor supported events each year - Hope You Can Cling To and Dare to Get Dirty - we are going to focus on events like Virtual Stamp Night (coming right up), Virtual Scrapbooking Night and our challenge forum.
These events have grown quite a bit in the last few years - we devote ten weeks each year to those two awesome events (six of those weeks are live challenge days - the rest are planning) so that they can have the maximum impact and participation just continues to grow (thank you!).
Having another challenge event sandwiched in the short space between those two leaves the community very little space just to create for fun and do what we all do best, so we decided to balance our calendar just a bit.
We always want the primary focus here at Splitcoast to be on the joy of daily creating, learning and sharing just for fun, and we love the magic of the right challenge speaking to the right cardmaker at the right time.
So I encourage you to participate in our daily challenges and our Virtual events and see the amazing work our challenge hosts are doing every day. There's no lack of inspiration - it's just a click away!
I had forgotten about LoveFest until I saw this thread. It was fun, but I like the idea of focusing on VSN and VSBN (I've been hooked on SN for years!) It can be overwhelming to keep up with all of the events, especially the ones that last multiple days. Though I must admit, the big pile of supplies in the aftermath was always worthy of some fun photos!
VSN s just under 2 weeks away... I hope you all play along!
