They will probably grow on me, since these colours are not really "in" in other areas right now. But I'm sure we'll see them show up more and more. Those colours make me want to order the Tart & Tangy stamp set.
A little off topic here, but what do you people feed your cats? Cat vomit at our house is definitely more mustard! Probably why I don't care for that color either!

My cat who likes to vomit is always eating mysterious things around the house; shoe laces, ribbon, who knows what!
I still miss True Thyme and Cranberry Crisp....I have lots of Cool Caribbean. I liked the dark blue but the rest...they're o.k. I guess. My cats don't puke in green apparently because it didn't look like that to me. My little darlings are more of a More Mustard type of color....yum.
What are you people feeding your cats?;)
My opinion, they are so much better than rock, sky, and guava - and while wasabi really worked in some situations, it was never my favorite.
I will actually buy each of these papers (not a lot, but some).
I can't wait to see the patterned paper that will match these. I KNOW I will buy some to go with the paper, because I always do. And I LOVE the picture above of the colorful living room!
Not loving the new colors but have to see them in person to really know. I learned my lesson about stocking up on In Colors. I think I have 4 pack each of Cool Caribbean and True Thyme still. Yikes!

I wouldhave to see these colors in real life to make the final judgement. But right now I am guilty as charged for thinking that these colors are not cool at all! I am really disappointed. After the last two years of awesome colors, this is kinda a bummer. I am not a fan of the bold brights and these colors look like they are just as bad as yoyo, etc. I hope this is just a really off pic.
What are they thinking!!!!.I guess I will be stocking up on the in colors now. Those colors remind me of the 70's.I hope they look better in person than they did here. i don't think i will be buying any of them
thank you so much for the link! i actually quite like the colors, although i was hoping for a soft peachy color; that seems to be one shade SU neglects......
As of right now, I don't really like the new in-colors. They just look really loud to me. I usually lean towards the earth element or soft subtle family groups so these don't really "speak" to me.
duhh never mind, I kept going and found them...now I am in a minority here in that the only color I LIKE is the Kiwi!!! I think it is VERY "in" right now...actually, the 70's look is "in" right now so you are probably right about these colors looking like the 70's. I really am not fond of the current in colors, though, so I guess I am weird. I like seeing what people do with them, but just looking at them I had NO desire for ANY of them...so we'll see how these go.

I love the pink too!!! Tangerine Tango I'll have to see in person and I'm not sure about the kiwi either... Hmmmmm Can't wait to see them up close and personal!!
That's now the second pic I've seen of the new In Colors, and I have to agree with most of you--yuck! I am hoping that they look better IRL. By the way, did anyone check out some of the new dp she posted on her site? Super cute!
Um, Kiwi Kiss looked like a warm yellow on my monitor (rather than a green). So it would match the cat vomits that are more like More Mustard. (on my monitor anyway)
there's some direct links to the web page on about page two of this topic. it won't let me paste the link here, says i can't post url's until i've made 3 or more posts (but i think i've made four, color me confused)
anyway, the links are there. find where someone says "here's the link" and put your cursor on the web address, and then click. it should take you to the page with the new colors.
I was just thinking that some of the new in colors seem to be similar to the ideas in the occasions mini (the ones around the fruit) - putting oranges and reds together and added a teal...etc.
I do find them bright like some others, but there is that ballet pink...and I'm thinking there will be combo's with existing color families that make things more muted (ex. this year when we did soft sky or blue bayou with cocoa...)
My favourite in colors were 2 years ago (cranberry crisp....etc) - and I wish these had been incorporated into the color families when they retired - we don't really have a good burgundy, you know? (Bravo burgundy is almost brown-y).
For this year's in colors several of the are pretty close to existing colors - for example - I can pretty easily substitute rose red for purely pomegranite and it works! So I think it's the color combinations that I've come up with that I'll keep.
For the new in colors I think it's much that way too - they seem very close to existing colors - and like some have said on here I'm sure I'll like them more when I see them in the catty and in projects!
I am so thrilled to be able to see these new colors! I think they're TERRIFIC - so uplifting and happy. I particularly love Pacific Point and Pink Pirhouette. And in doing graduation cards this year - for 3 different schools who had "cardinal" as one of their colors - SU's Real Red just wasn't quite right. It appears that Riding Hood Red may just be that cardinal! Can't wait to get a hold of all these new colors.
I have to say that in reading many of the comments here, I am dismayed by the negativity. Really, folks, there are no "bad" colors in existence - it's all in how they're used. More colors = more options = more opportunities for creativity. IT'S ALL GOOD!
Well, I am in the minority as well, as I really like these colors. I have seen several different pictures of these colors, some of the pics better than others. IRL they will probably look different. Often when I place together the different colors that SU! puts together, I end up really liking them. I do like the Kiwi Kiss a lot, and the pink, and the light blue. Actually, I really think I am going to like all of them. Orange isnt usually my color, but when used with these colors it will probably be very different! I am really excited, I cant wait to order these!
No, I do not like them at all either. I am going with Papertrey colors these days and one by one phasing out my SU. I do not like the PT moss green though. Their new yellow is a wonderful improvement over SU yellows and their Lavendar Moon is just perfect.

I'm not crazy about the new colors either. I was already thinking about stocking up on this years colors because I really love them. Now that I have seen the new colors, I think I will.
I'm not a huge fan of bright colors and right now I don't plan on buying them. But I'm sure when they come out everyone will be using them and making great projects and then I'll end up buying them!
I will Def. be stocking up on the current in colors. I just am not feeling the new colors. They are really bright.
"You do not like them, so you say; try them, try them and you may!
...I don't think I'll like them, not at all. They're much too bright, or sickly, or blah. Don't need to see them close at hand. No sir, they're colors I can't stand. I do not like them, Sam I am,! not on my desk, not on my shelf not in a card, not from myself..."
You get the drift. I really am not drawn to them at all which is good, because if I were I would need reinkers, and the whole shebang!
I don't know, when this thread first started I was one of the posters that said "yuck!" But now looking at them some more, I actually like three of them. I think I'll like the pale pink, and both of the blues look interesting. Normally, I really like blue, so if half of these colors work for me, then I should be happy. And I'm one of the few who didn't like the colors the first year they had them, all I got was the cool carribbean.

Why does anyone have to limit their color palette to one company? Vive la difference, dit moi! I am happy to add any and all colors to my collection, but let's face it, Papertrey hasn't come out with markers to match their colors, so SU! still has an advantage there.
I still have last years In Colors and use a few of them regularly. I mix Papertrey colors with SU!, though I haven't bought the yellows or the new lavender yet. To me, it looks just like the old Mauve Mist, a color I didn't use very often.

I ordered the PTI yellows--'cause yellow is my *favorite* color--and I think the Lemon is so close to Barely Banana as to not make a difference to me. And the Sunrise one is just a re-make of Marigold Morning. But we all see colors very differently. :-)
I notice you're very new to SCS! Welcome! Have you been stamping long? Do you have a blog we could check out or anything, or do you frequent other bulletin boards? Maybe we "know" you under another name! It's always nice to welcome another crafter to Splitcoast!
Is Paper Trey card stock the same weight as SU's? I really like the weight of the cardstock.

The white cardstock is much heavier, but doesn't have the smooth finish that SU!'s Whisper White does. I like it for card bases, but for stamping with solid stamps, I think Whisper White is still superior. I use the PTI white for images that I color in with Prismacolors and Gamsol, as the smooth finish of the Whisper White doesn't have enough tooth to grab much of the pencil pigment.
The colored cardstock is about the same weight as SU!'s colored cardstock...it's probably just a smidge heavier, but not by much.
