New Catty - Scrappers Question
OK scrappers....I've been focusing most of my stamping purchases lately on scrapbooking. Wondering what you think (besides the WAY cool new alpha sets) would be best for scrapping. Loving Little Pieces - think it will be great for background. Also the jumbo Cool wheel. Any other suggestions?
I ordered Wonderful Weaves (170) and can't wait to use that in my books!
I've got Label Classics on my wish list (171).
The words from the Phrases sets on page 191 would be great!
As far as images go, you can use just about anything that you like and that goes with the type of pictures you have to scrap. There are a lot of versatile sets in the Ocassions section that start on page 64 - the Little Layers sets, Stipple Celebrations, Shapes & Shadows....
Also check out the Frames, Borders, and Backgrounds section starting on page 163.
I'm getting the stencil alpha and numbers and Land that I Love to work on my brother's Navy album, and Going Buggy since my 2 yo ds is way into bugs at the moment. I really love the Headline Alpha, too!!!!
My wish list is huge! I think the Label Classics (171) will be great! I can't wait to try the Twill tape, too. I love the idea of Just Journaling (192) becuase that is always the messiest part of my pages. I hope that set of templates will make a nicer way to journal. Happy Scrappin'!

I am loving the headline alpha and I can't wait to get my hands on little Pieces. I am alittle disappointed in them taking out the designer albums, and I've heard mixed reviews on the linen, but i'm willing to give them a try. Especially since we can stamp them up to our preference.
I am a big fan of background stamps, I find they are fabulous for my pages. I also have found that my Simple Shapes set is so verstaile, I have used it on a TON of pages. Everyday flexible Phrases is a regular and I can't live without my ribbon and heat embossing. Really looking forward to the twill, i've used it before, just never stamped on it WooHoo!
Really you can use any stamp set on your pages, I think most of my sets have had at least one image make it onto a page.

Thanks ladies...I placed my order (yikes!). Got the Tidy Alpha set (Headliner is for my DH to get me for my bday next month), Little Pieces, Word by Word, and after seeing a couple of people mention it - Label Classics. It was something that caught my eye the first time I glanced through the catty, but talked myself out of it. All I needed was a little encouragement! ;)
I hate to be the first to complain about this in the thread, but what were they thinking not even coming out with ONE new CHRISTMAS scrappers kit. How many times can we use that one. I know you are thinking be more creative and use the different papers and stamps and of course I do, but once in a while I love to pull out one of the kits and have a simple page done elegantly with the kits. They came out with a few new papers, but I feel the business is shifting a bit to scrapping and I would have loved to see LOTS of new kits. Most of my friends are scrappers and they have already purchased all the kits and were so waiting for lots of new ones. I think the headliner alphabet and the hodgepodge hardware are going to be 2 of the first things I order. I think for any scrapper that you have to buy a nice bday gift for the hodgepodge will be wonderful. I do love the brads too. We use a lot of eyelets and brads when we scrap
WE can only hope that is what they are waiting for. Can you imagine all of the great kits that they could come out with just for Christmas. That is not even to mention other holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving etc. I LOVE THE KITS
