I'm so curious why the contents of a stamping catalogue would be a secret. I pre ordered mine and will really enjoy pouring through it, but why would demos or anyone else want to keep info about something that is for sale a secret??
Many reasons why it's kept a secret...just think about it...Curiosity kills the cat...ANTICIPATION gets to us all and makes the reveal that much better! Plus, I'm sure Stampin' Up wouldn't want any competitors to clue in on what's new either for the sake of "stealing" ideas. Plus, if customers know all about the new catalog what are the chances of them buying from the old one right before the new one is released. And no, it's not just for demos...come on, that would really be silly...we'd all be out of business...ha ha! And last but not least, I guess God intends for us to use our gift of PATIENCE, even for the release of the new catalog! Even though it's killing us all! Have a good day!
I noticed that her thread title is New Catalogue arrived - HONEST . Since all my posts are "honest" I never even think about telling anyone that I'm honest. :rolleyes:

I think she said it like that, cause right before, someone posted about getting their catalog, then at the end, said it was a new Tupperware Catalog....I think a lot of people sighed all over the world reading that!! Thanks for sharing the details of the catty. Someone has to be the first to share and it's nice that those who have shared has taken the time. I for one do not care who gets the catty first, as long as there is some sharing involved for those that are waiting.
Is there a list somewhere of the accessories that are retiring besides the wheels and sets? I am going to a party later today and would like to know so I can get anything that maybe going out.
In a previous post, I wished for Botanical Gardens (a hostess set) to be in the new catalog. Does anyone know if it made it? I'm thinking it didn't but would be very very excited if it did. It is gorgeous! Thanks.
Yes mamak, I guess you could look at it that way. I haven't gotten my catalog yet and I'm going out of town. I know my demo will call to tell me the catalog is in when I'm gone. With the gallery down right now and no new catalog, I'm having a hard time! Gallery withdrawl and catalog anticipation! Ugh!

I have a detailed list of what is in the catty, no pics, just descriptions, and I haven't seen one for anything like hedgehogs. Perhaps they could show up in a mini?

Stampin' Up let all demos know when the new colors were released to us that they would be updating and replacing the color wheel. I think that this is a must have with all of the new color combos!

At this point, it's too late for competitors to change their cattys, so I don't think "stealing ideas" matters at this point. I demo for TAC as a hobbyist mostly, but I buy some SU stuff from my Mom. The TAC catty comes out this week also. I think CTMH's is out too...I get excited over any new stamping products no matter who they are from! I love it all!

Keep in mind too, that very little is original in the stamping world , lately.
For just about every stamp out there, another manufacturer makes one that is very similar. I cant figured out who is stealing ideas from whom , but most of the companies are definitely "borrowing" ideas and designs.
Is the Tag Alphabet (Summer Mini) in there???? I just ordered it. Gosh, I hope it is.
I am told that the summer mini catalog items won't be available to the '05-'06 catalog since the mini catalog is on sale thru August. They would have their chance to make the full-size catalog in '06-'07.
Has Sketches made it in to the new catty? It was in the Spring 2003 mini. I want that set so badly. It has a beach chair that would go so well with Summer by the Sea and Seaside Sketches.

Does anyone know if there is a set similar to wonderful wings (the one with the three butterflys and one dragonfly...or should I say 2 butterflies, one booberfly (see MamaK's gallery...LOL), and one dragonfly)? I'm really on the fence with this one.
Thanks for sharing the info! I am so glad to hear Ageless Adornment made it. I could never get my shows to Level 3 this time. I'll have a show in Oct. so will have to see what new goodies are out!
How are eyelets offered in the new catalog? Individual colors, color groups of four like before, etc.??? Any new colors or shapes?
