I would like to send out pregnancy announcements to out of town family and friends, but am stuck for a good idea. Any help with ideas for wording or stamps? Has anyone sent out any?

How about something like "We're adding on to our family by two feet"...?

On a side note, this did give me an idea when we get pregnant for letting our friends know.. I think I'll send them door knockers bought at the local hardware store with a card that says we are knocked up. Now, this is NOT something that I would ever send to family members as the phrase "knocked up" is not really a happy connotation (and quite offensive actually) - but this would only go to DH's best friend, my best girl friend and my best guy friend.

"Baby Firsts" (IB&C page 97) would be my choice of stamps..

Thinking a really 'wild' look on the front of the card using bright colors... with something like... "We have great news" ... and then on the inside use one (or more) of the baby stamps ... and the words.. "We're expecting a new arrival on ___"

Just a tought... hoping it helps to inspire.

My sister-in-law just sent out baby announcement cards she had made that said " a bun in the oven" - she used a swirl stamp in close to cocoa, and sparkles, and the red gingham ribbon...it was very cute! I loved the saying!
