Default Need grosgrain ribbon to match Summer Sun

Does anyone know if the "maize" ribbon (page 232, item A.11) matches Summer Sun, or if it is closer to YoYo Yellow? Or do you know where I can find grosgrain to match Summer Sun? I thought I had seen a thread a while back on this topic, but I can't find it.

Thanks!

Julie

Actually, the retired color from last year, Yellow Gold, matches Summer Sun perfectly. The Maize color really goes with YoYo Yellow. I just checked both against my cardstock and those are my findings.

Karen, thanks for checking for me. As always I'm too late! I didn't realize that ribbon colors retired too.

Hey, you're not a moron! I think Maize is going to be the closest that's current -- I had to go look to make sure the Yellow Gold is retired. But I happened to have both, so I just checked.

You might can find a similar color at JKM Ribbon. I got some ribbon from there and while it's not quite the same quality as SU, it'll do for colors SU doesn't carry. It's also a bit cheaper.

you might also PM tayloredexpressions. she sells lots of ribbon colors and I'm sure she can get you the color you want

She sells cheaper than SU ribbon as well! It's a steal and she's supernice!

Okay, I checked www.reasonableribbon.com and they have two colors that may work.

Here is the sunflower(last on the page)

And here is the Melon(first one on the page)

I hope one of thoes works for you, I can't tell the exact color, (the color settings on my computer is a little too dark) but to me the sunflower looks pretty good.

These are both great resources. Something tells me I'll be buying more than just the yellow ribbon!

SCEmily, I could have just called you-I live in Columbia!

Thanks again for all the help!

Debbie, I tried to PM you but it wouldn't go through. How much do you want for the ribbon?

another way to match your ribbon, especially if you don't need a lot, is to color white grosgrain with a marker. works great!

I cover my finger with a piece of scotch tape and pull my ribbon, cord, string, floss or what ever, over my ink pad. The tape keeps your finger clean and helps the ribbon or other slide smoother.

What a great idea. Tape on the finger, who woulda thunk it? Thanks!
