I'm looking for "what does this stamp say to you?" rather than general get well ideas. I think it's a really cute stamp and I'm looking for some really cute/fun ideas. My grandma always said I have no sense of humor so I'm looking for a little help!
I have this great image of a medicine bottle that says Chicken Soup Rx. I can't figure out something really cute to do with it. I want it to be cheery. I'd love suggestions on layout, embellishments, colors...whatever you creative divas can come up with! TIA
This may seem a bit odd, but I have a quirky sense of humour ...! How about some glue dots with feathers and broken bits of eggshells stuck on it?!!!! Or do you have (or could you borrow from a friend?) a stamp of a chicken or baby chick, or even draw a simple one inside the bottle? Or one of those tiny pompom-type chicks you get for Easter?
My 2c worth anyway.
What about real bandaids, you know the very small ones?? And you could emboss it in black and then wet water color it all in. And then mat it on a single piece of gauze mounted on a piece of red cardstock.
OK, I'm thinkin' in terms of SU! colors, so bear with:
I think it would be adorable with Barely Banana as your base card, with perhaps Canvas background (or something with texture) stamped with Summer Sun over the Barely Banana to "warm" it up.
Stamp the image on white c/s, and accent the image by coloring with colors like Real Red, and Bashful Blue, and highlight with white as needed. Mat with Real Red c/s.
I think red gingham ribbon would be the perfect accent, and maybe a Bashful Blue Button with this threaded and knotted through it? Or, perhaps some Red Hemp.
HTH,

I'd love to use this stamp to make a pocket card and then put a pkg of lipton instant chicken noodle soup in the pocket!! That would be so CUTE!
Would you happen to have a feather stamp to use as a background???
For more ideas go to the gallery, scroll down to the T-U Sets, then click on Under the Weather. That set has things like band-aids a cup of soup and a hot water bottle. Several of the samples are in bright cheerful colors.
Well Shucks.... here's the link. Under the Weather by DellsDani at Splitcoaststampers

HTH,
Ooh Julie, that sounds really cute. Now if I could just make it as cute as you think it! ;)

For one brief shining moment, I was struck by creative lightening when I peeked at the stamp image you shared. definitely one for the history books.
Now, go stamp it and let's SEE the goods, girl!!!

Apparently it's Latin. Here's the Merriam Webster dictionary definition:
Main Entry: Rx
Pronunciation: "r-'eks
Function: noun
Etymology: alteration of <rx>, symbol used at the beginning of a prescription, abbreviation for Latin recipe, literally, take -- more at RECIPE : a medical prescription

Interesting, thanks! I thought we were the ones that went in for poncey Latin when plain English would do! Eg, Curriculum vitae/resume. You live and learn. Sorry for the hijack - back to the thread...
