Thank you to all the wonderful ladies here for your encouragement!
I think the thought that really stuck in my mind is when one of you said, make it like you would make a card! That did it for me... had the stuff and just dug it out and went for it!
I am really happy with what I created! This is a photo of my son, I have been wanting to scrapbook for a long time! I have had it for two years now!
I thought it was "good enough" to enter into the current Wild Thing contest, but I am not sure if it really qualifies. But, it was fun just to do it! And now my son is happy and SO AM I! I will get to keep it forever!
What a great page! I love how you used the vellum in the bottom to spotlight the butterfly on his finger... I've always wanted to go to a butterfly museum
I say enter the contest!!! This is a beautiful page and am dumb founded that this is only your first scrapbook page. It looks like you have been doing it for years. Can't wait to see more!

The page is hard to see the details of it, because my scanner WON'T WORK! WAaaahhhh! Can you see the butterfly that is on his arm and his chest? How cool is that! I told him the butterflies must like him. He sure is such a sweet boy. Maybe that's why
If you can tell, I was trying to get the tropical forest, in the wild kind of feel with the leaves and vine wrapped around. If you can see in the background of the picture, its really misty and tropical, very "rainforesty".
Awesome layout! Sure doesn't look like a 1st! I too, love the little vellum spotlighting technique. I saved this one in my favs for future reference. TFS!
Are you sure this is your first?? This is just awesome, I love the colors, the layout and everthing about it. Your should submit it to the contest and keep on scrapping, you are a natural!
